Presentation titled, 'Why we should donate blood'. I've discussed to members of the group to choose this topic, because it happened in every country and it is easy to be described and presented. In every country have associations and clubs for blood donation. Blood is very important to the human body because blood carries oxygen to every limbs of the human body to provide energy to work or do anything.

My friends and I was explained the meaning of blood and describes about blood donation. When I was doing a research on blood donation activities, I can conclude that in every country, these activities have received less attention because people assume the blood donation is an activity which is a waste of time and they are too busy with their daily activities. By doing a presentation, I can understand the actual meaning of the matter it was the blood donation. As a result, I was able to deepen knowledge about the outside world.
I have made a report about blood donation. I found in any public or private hospital has inadequate blood supply. This is very dangerous because when patients who need the blood, he forced be taken from the family members or the same blood sample. This will take a long time to do because family members need to make in advance of the examination.
'Why we should to donate blood' I emphasize this topic because it is important to every person. 'Why' refers to the reason and the importance of donating blood. 'We should' means the necessary for each individual to donate blood. Donating blood should be done by healthy individuals only because if one individual has the disease, it will have a high impact to spread the disease to other patients.
Presentation provided was based on my skills and expert groups. We provided a presentation by explaining the meaning of donating blood, explains the important contents such as the…...

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Natural Environment Training and Discrete Trial Teaching for Persons with Autism.

...and respnses is emphasized and reinforcers for correct responses are tied to the student’s ongoing activites. Sundberg and Partington (1999) coined the term ‘natural environment teaching’ (NET) to refer to all procedures that focus on interactions between a teacher and a learner that arise in a natural environment. DTT and NET are distinguished on the basis of who initiates the interaction. DTT refers to interactions initiated by the teacher and NET refers to interactions initiated by the learner. DTT and NET are best viewed on a spectrum from adult led, repeated instruction, to child led teaching opportunities that may or may not be repeated. There are several benefits of using DTT when working with a child. One benefit is that the teacher controls the pace of the session and can therefore determine how many trials the child needs in order to master a specific skill or ability. Another advantage is that the response required, the stimuli used to teach (eg, 2d picture card) and the instructions given are specified (e.g. touch nose), thereby promoting consistency across tutors and parents. There is little thought involved on the part of the learner in DTT whilst use of reinforcement is quite clear. For all of its benefits, DTT has been criticized for producing rigid responding in children. The disadvantages associated with DTT are as follows; 1) In any trial format, a teacher initiates each question, so you cannot get a rate of student response. Thus, you miss the......

Science and Technology: Advantages and Disadvantages

...Science and Technology: Advantages and Disadvantages Technology is a very broad concept and is used to refer to several braches of science and study. There are many advantages due to science and technology but there are also many disadvantages. Science and technology have a great impact on everyday life and several people thrive to continue discovering the best technologies. It has brought many advantages in healthcare, medicine, education, and communication to help improve the life of mankind, but mankind could also be too dependent on technology and could fall into the wrong hands. There are obviously more advantages than disadvantages. One of the biggest discoveries in science and technology is the mobile telephone. With phones we are able to talk to any person in the world, we can now also see the person we are talking to. Video calling is very popular now among companies. With the invention of video calling companies can now connect to other countries and expand their companies, which mean more jobs for the poor and unemployed. With all the new smartphones and programs on cell phones people can now conduct business anywhere and anytime. Also, cell phones now have GPS which means a parent can choose to give their children a phone and be able to track them anywhere they go (Mazar, 2011, para. 4). I can’t even remember a time when I didn’t have my cell phone in my pocket. Doctors even use smart phones to look up symptoms and treatments faster. As I was sitting in......

Technology Advantage and Disadvantage

...Advantages and disadvantages of technology. In the last century many people did things by hand but nowadays more and more tasks have become automated. For example, many people have washing machines, clothes driers and dishwashers, so the amount of energy needed to wash and dry clothes and wash dishes is greatly reduced. As technology progresses, more and more of these tasks will be automatic, for example, vacuum cleaning or cutting the grass. In addition to this, improvements in technology have given us 24-hour a day entertainment from digital TV to video games. This means that there are fewer tasks to do, more time to do nothing and more opportunities to sit around and be entertained without moving very much. As we can see, there are both advantages and disadvantages to this. I will deal with the advantages firstly. I think, there are at least two positive effects of this. First of all, we don't need to do repetitive and uninteresting job like washing-up and this gives us more time to do other things. What we do with this time depends upon the individual. Secondly, for people, who are less able to do these jobs, like elderly or disabled people, these machines are a great help. Future developments may be able to help them even more. I think, this is the most positive side of technology. Now I will look at the disadvantages. As I mentioned, it is up to the individual what they do with this extra time. Unfortunately, instead of doing everyday tasks people tend to watch......

Advantages and Disadvantages of Technology

...Advantages and Disadvantages of Advanced Technology By Jin Sun K., Wellesley, MA Email me when Jin S. contributes work Today, we can’t imagine ourselves without technological advances such as cars, microwaves, cell phones, computers, and televisions. However, technology won’t stop here, but develop further. As technology develops, there are not only advantages, but disadvantages from them. A few advantages of upgraded technology are that one can save time and money and life will be made easier as a result of not having to do all the hard labor. In contrast, the disadvantages of upgraded technology are that people will loose their jobs to machines that will do the work for them. In addition, machines and robots are too complex for most people to use. I personally would want a developed world with advanced technologies. The following are the reasons why I do want a more advanced world with advanced technologies. My major reason is because when you have advanced technologies, life is much easier as robots and machines would take over your daily life chores. For example, daily life chores might be serving your breakfast, cutting your lawn, or cleaning your room. With robots and machines doing one’s chores one has time to relax. Another reason is because unlike humans, robots and machines do not make mistakes when programmed correctly. They always accomplish tasks perfectly so you won’t have to worry about making a mistake and getting trouble. Other reasons why I want......

Incremental Innovation in Technology, Advantages and Disadvantages.

...Innovation in Technology, Advantages and Disadvantages. Introduction: The objective of this paper is to examine the techniques related to incremental technological innovation in light of its advantages and disadvantages. Many studies focus on techniques of speeding up the cycle of product design. However, the fastest and most effective way to speed up the introduction of a product is to execute an incremental improvement – to an existing produce - that could serve a new and particular need. On the other side of the spectrum, there is what is called the megaproject. A project that starts out with over-the-top ambitious objectives, it requires almost extraordinary effort to accomplish, it demands enormous financial budgets, it typically runs over time and misses many deadlines, and at the end, few examples make a splash and many are written as “tax deductions”. While these heroic projects make good news stories, they do not always make money. They can fail very dramatically and expensively. Since these failures do not make such good new stories, we hear less about them, and overestimate the success rate of megaprojects. We underestimate the importance and value of incremental programs and mislead ourselves about the true risk of the megaproject. We need to look more carefully at these two approaches. Therefore, the opinion expressed here is that the incremental innovators are in fact the unsung heroes of product development. In examining the advantages of......

Advantages and Disadvantages of Interactive Learning Environment

...ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF INTERACTIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT Interactive learning in the classroom help students prepare more successfully for the outside world than those who do not. Engaged learners who actively participate in their own education are more apt to remember more from a lesson and then transfer newly acquired skills to different situations. Interactive learning in a classroom is to maintain a teaching style, like the Socratic Method, that encourages healthy debate between students and the teacher. Although it may sound simple, it is hard to actually foster an atmosphere in which students feel free to question authority because they fear reprisal or embarrassment. The development of true critical-thinking skills, however, requires just such an open and honest exchange of ideas. Discussion in class is one of the interactive learning during lectures. When the lecturer ask his/her students to discuss about a specific topic in class, it will helps to motivate students toward further learning, to allow students to apply information in new settings, or to develop students' thinking skills, then discussion is preferable to lecture. Students are able to express out their own opinions during the class. They will have chance to talk in front of their friends and lecturer. So it will help them to gain self confidence to talk. Interactive environment is good for the learners to present themselves in front of everyone where this is......

...literary categories. Therefore,it’s the future that predicts science fiction.      Science writers need not even be set in the future, they are just trying to write an entertainment and thought-provoking stories to attract people’s mind.they prefer to fall into one or more of the following literary categories,Cautionary tales,Thought experiments,Literalized metaphors and Explorations of new science and technology. To some extent, they are a batch of nonmalignant socialists.Because they have transmitted a mass of message which is conductive to our life.So it’s the future that predicts science fiction.      Beside of these, each science fiction writers is an individual human being with an individual personal history.Notwithstanding it has its own advantages, but there is no doubt that it has both merits and demerits. For example,People who grew up during the Depression, will have a very different attitude toward money than those who grew up during the Baby Boom. This explains why not every SF story written during a certain week reflects only the news of that week. Each SF author‘s idea of the future is based on all their life experiences, not just the most immediate ones.So it cannot be denied that even though a......

Advantages and Disadvantages of Modern Technologies

...1980s there was another negative shock related to politics, as the terms of Hong Kong’s return to PRC control in 1997 were formalized. Reintegration with China, 1978-1997 The Open Door Policy of the PRC announced by Deng Xiao-ping at the end of 1978 marked a new era for Hong Kong’s economy.  With the newly vigorous engagement of China in international trade and investment, Hong Kong’s integration with the mainland accelerated as it regained its traditional role as that country’s main provider of commercial and financial services. From 1978 to 1997, visible trade between Hong Kong and the PRC grew at an average rate of 28% per annum. At the same time, Hong Kong firms began to move their labor-intensive activities to the mainland to take advantage of cheaper labor.  The integration of Hong Kong with the Pearl River delta in Guangdong is the most striking aspect of these trade and investment links.  At the end of 1997, the cumulative value of Hong Kong's direct investment in Guangdong was estimated at US$48 billion, accounting for almost 80% of the total foreign direct investment there. Hong Kong companies and joint ventures in Guangdong province employed about five million people.  Most of these businesses were labor-intensive assembly for export, but from 1997 onward there has been increased investment in financial services, tourism and retail trade. Asian Financial Crisis, 1997-2002 The terms for the return of Hong Kong to Chinese rule in July 1997 carefully protected the......
