Advantages of VHDL

• VHDL has a portable design data that is also known as protect investment. This protect investment is vital especially in realizing the quality of the design.

• There is technology and independency in tool usage. As much as this is important, the use of FPGA feature may not be well used. The independency is due to the high level of description.

• The designer does not have to be omnibus as it has to remember all the details of the ASIC vendor.

• ATPG is used for ASICs. This means that, there is a test generation and an automatic synthesis.

• The language needs to be of big breadth so as to allow only one language to be used in the entire process of designing (Lipsett, Schaefer, & Ussery, 1989). A single VHDL designer is able to design and stimulate an entire system on various description levels.

• The VHDL is an important catalyst that allows a designer to upgrade to a higher methodology design called HDL (Salcic, 1998). This upgrade makes various operations to take place and new technologies to be formed on the same design. VHDL has a wider range of Descriptive Capability as it provides full support of behavioral description from digital system to the gate level.

• Any designer who uses VHDL has an advantage as he is able to be more productive than any other classical designers who just use the schematic capture or other point languages like ABEL (Lipsett, Schaefer, & Ussery, 1989). This makes the designing time much shorter thus makes the process quit productive and competitive.

• The designer is able to think on the design concept more than the level of connecting component. This allows the designer to work on the Register Transfer and other behavioral levels. This allows the language to become more productive and much useful in…...

The trainee should: ● ● perform the clinical skill/manage the case under supervision be aware that the number of times the competence/clinical skill/situation needs to be supervised depends on the complexity of the case and individual aptitude be aware there is therefore no limit to the number of times the procedure can be supervised and there is no advantage in having a module signed up until you and your clinical supervisor are certain that you can safely perform this procedure in a number of different clinical situations and levels of complexity be able to manage any unexpected complications but know when to summon senior help. ● ● Anchor statement: ‘The trainee is capable of performing the task or managing the clinical problem but with senior support.’ Level 3 (previously referred to as ‘independent practice’) The progression to independent practice may be the most difficult for the trainee. Once the trainee has been signed off for direct supervision, they should start the process of performing procedures with less and less supervision, as agreed by their trainer. To be......

Comparative Advantage vs. Absolute Advantage

...Explain comparative advantage, absolute advantage and explain what that has to do with today’s economy. A country has an absolute advantage in the production of a good relative to another country if it can produce the good at lower cost or with higher productivity. Absolute advantage compares industry productivities across countries. In the case of Zambia, for instance, the country has an absolute advantage over many countries in the production of copper. This occurs because of the existence of reserves of copper ore or bauxite. We can see that in terms of the production of goods, there are obvious gains from specialization and trade, if Zambia produces copper and exports it to those countries that specialize in the production of other goods or services. It is easy to see that if countries have an absolute advantage there are advantages to trade. However, what happens if one country has an absolute advantage over its trading partners in the production of a number of goods. Specialization and trade can still result in there being welfare gains made from trade. A country has a comparative advantage in the production of a good or service that it produces at a lower opportunity cost than its trading partners. The opportunity cost of a good is the quantity of other goods sacrificed to make another unit of that good. Some countries have an absolute advantage in the production of many goods relative to their trading partners. Some have an absolute disadvantage....

Competitive Advantage

...Darlene Ulmer Greta Miquelena 05 March 2014 Competitive advantage is a very important concept that seems very simple but it can bring lots of profitable benefits to a company. Competitive advantage means to have some sort of advantage over the industry competitors; in other words, when a company is able to create an innovative product that the competitors cannot imitate. For example, iPad tables are a hot item in the market and everyone from any age wants this item; therefore, it has been proven to have competitive advantage over any other table in the market. Now days all the companies are very competitive and only a few are able to succeed. Therefore, companies must use all the sources available to maintain the customers within the company. Brand names and costs switching are sources of competitive advantage; nonetheless, a brand name is not just created overnight. At the end of the day, if I get personalized treatment and every time I go to that store I get the same service, my expectations start to increase. Therefore, I would start spreading the world about my fascinating experience with families and friends. It is important to have more than one source of competitive advantage because this provides the company market share stability and profitability. The pharmaceutical industry has three major sources of competitive advantage, customer satisfaction, complaint resolution and......

Comparative Advantage

...Management AMM 103 October 16, 2005 Absolute Advantage and Comparative Advantage According to the classic model of international trade introduced by David Ricardo (19th-century English economist) to explain the pattern and the gains from trade in terms of comparative advantage, it assumes a perfect competition and a single factor of production, labor, with constant requirements of labor per unit of output that differ across countries. The basis for trade in the Ricardian model is the differences in technology between countries. As a result, there are two different ways to describe technology differences: the first method, called absolute advantage, is the way most people understand technology differences; and the second method, called comparative advantage, is a much more difficult concept. Absolute advantage is the simplest measure of economic performance. It is the ability to produce a good at a lower cost, in terms of real resources than another country. Absolute Advantage is neither necessary nor sufficient for a country to export a good. In other words, a country has an absolute advantage economically over another, in a particular good, when it can produce that good more cheaply or it can produce more of the good than another country can, with the same amount of resources. In fact, absolute advantage appears when multiple products are being considering. For example, if the country “A” has an economic advantage against the country “B” at producing the......

Advantages and Dis Advantages of Recruiting

...Advantages and Dis Advantages of Recruiting The difference between informal and formal recruiting. When using informal recruiting they use advertising public or private employment agencies and help wanted signs in front of a business. The focus is that Informal recruitment is not as costly and it eliminates finder’s fees and other search related expenses that they might incur and the time used to do it. According to Mencken and Winfield (1998) “Informal provides job seekers with access to details about a position and prospective employer that an agency would not know, the informal working environment, or the direction the organization is heading” (p137). The advantage of formal recruiting is that it generates a large pool of applicants which increases the pool of candidates that might need minimal training and procedures and gives more output. It also serves and organization that wants more diversity in there applicant pool. Organizational practices formal recruitment requires a substantial investment of organizational resources and the quality of the recruitments is not assured and the turnover rate is always higher creating a long term cost that some companies cannot afford. The disadvantage of informal recruiting is that there is a small applicant pool which in turn limits the applicants that you will recruit these overall advantages of informal and formal recruiting are the volume of applicants and the quality that they recruit. The disadvantages of......

Competitive Advantage

...Cost advantage/ Competing in distinctive way “If a company cannot be more operationally effective than its rivals, the only way to generate higher level of economic value is to gain a cost advantage or price premium by competing in a distinctive way”. Does this apply to the digital economy? Assess critically. It has been claimed that “value can be created with Internet communication either through finding ways of reducing costs or, on the demand side, by improving the match between buyer preferences and the goods they purchase”. Do you agree? “Internet technologies tend to reduce variable costs and tilt cost structure towards fixed cost, creating significant greater pressure for companies to engage in destructive price competition.” Do you agree? INTRODUCTION o It is argued that “If a company cannot be more operationally effective than its rivals, the only way to generate higher level of economic value is to gain a cost advantage or price premium by competing in a distinctive way”. o I will first give a definition of the digital economy and what is economic value. o This is followed by a briefly discussion on operational effectiveness. o I will then talk about the importance as well as limitation about cost advantage and price premium strategies. o The last part of the essay will look at other strategies and other elements besides cost advantage and price premium a firm can consider gaining competitive advantage. Competitive Advantage

...Competitive Advantage and Pro Sports LaChandra Nicole Gaines MGMT 488 June 5, 2011 Ronald Morritt Competitive Advantage and Pro Sports Sustainable competitive advantage is the main purpose of an organization’s corporate strategy. Sustainable Advantage permits the preservation and development of a company’s competitive location within market (Strategy Fundamental: Determining Sustainable Competitive Advantage, 2010). Competitive advantage facilitates an organization to outlast against its competitors for an insignificant amount of time. Competitive advantage may originate in many forms. The competitive characteristic stems from the likeness of other alternatives (Strategy Fundamental: Determining Sustainable Competitive Advantage, 2010). I chose the Miami Heat as my pro-sport team to discuss competitive advantage. Because signing the very talented LeBron James to its 2010-2011 rosters, the Miami Heat established competitive advantage over all other professional basketball teams in the league (Waller, 2011). Alongside Dewayne Wade, the Miami Heat has the potential to bring home another championship to the city of Miami. There is a unanimous conformity that both Dewayne Wade and LeBron James are two of the best players in the NBA (Waller, 2011). The talents of James and Wade can dominate any team to secure a win for by making all the shots, rebounds, and playing aggressive defense. Both James and Wade signify sustainable competitive advantage for the reason that...
