What is the best way to bring up a child?

“Parents around the world are doing their best to raise their children to become happy, responsible adults. They take care of their children and try to teach them the values they think are important for them to learn.” But is there a way of bringing up child that is better than the other?
Amy Chua believes that if you nurture your children, they will be better off when they become adults. She thinks that children need boundaries. She believes in making all of the decision for her children because she does not think that they will make the right decision.
Also the Eastern way of parenting they can be very upfront with their children, for example they can tell them to lose some weight if they think they are to fat, without their children ending up feeling less worthy, were Western parents are very sensitive, they do not tell them directly but in a more discreet way.
The Eastern parents also demands their children to get straight A’s and to be the best at everything they do because they know that their children have ability to do it, so they put a tremendous amount of presser on them to make them the best, if they do not end with the best result, the parents will push them and go over why they did not do their best and the go over it again and again until they succeeds. That can either end up making them better or break them, if they do not have the capacity to handle all the pressure it will end up crushing them and making them feel like a failure. If they have the capacity to handle the pressure, they are going to be the best at everything they do because their parents have thought them how to handle the pressure and if they do not end with the best result, they will know what they did wrong and make it better the next time. They do all of this to make them prepare for the future when they become adults and they will…...

Jackson, NJ 08527 March 5, 2013 Joe Superintendent Main Street Elementary School Jackson, NJ 08527 Dear Mr. Superintendent: I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Sarah Smith and I am the marketing director at Six Flags. It has come to our attention that your fifth grade class has received a grant for an all expenses paid field trip and is in the process of picking a destination. I am writing this letter to request an opportunity to come to your school and talk to your fifth graders about the benefits of choosing Six Flags as their destination. A field trip to Six Flags would offer your students a chance to have fun while learning. They would have a chance to experience the Safari and the theme park during their trip. Normally our educational programs are geared toward middle school and high school age students but I am confident that we can adapt our math and physics day programs for your elementary school students. During these programs they learn math and science concepts while having fun riding the rollercoasters. They will also have a chance to go through a guided Safari tour where they will learn about all of the animals we have in our park. I thank you for your time and guarantee that, if chosen, your students will have an enriching experience at our theme park. You can contact me in my office at 631-555-4444. ...Technical Writing/Business Communications/Letters Professional and Technical Writing/Business Communications/Letters Business Letters Business letters are written messages to a person or group within a professional setting. Business letters are used when the writer would like to be formal and professional. Letters may vary in length depending on the writer's objective, purpose, and message of the letter. The letter can address anyone including, but not limited to: clients and customers, managers, agencies, suppliers, and other business personnel or organizations. It is important to remember that any business letter is a legal document between the interested parties. These documents can be held for up to seven years, so it is important that all information is honest and legitimate. The Difference Between a Business letter and other letters The main thing that differentiates a business letter from other letters is that a business letter is a legal document. The writer can be held liable for anything written in the letter. For example, if it is stated that a project will be completed by a certain date in a business letter, the project legally must be completed by that date. However, if the project can't be completed by that date, another letter can be written stating that the project is behind schedule and why. For this reason, business letters must be written differently than letters used for personal use. A business letter is used......

...Writing a standard business letter –part 2 The UK format is similar to US full block format, with these key differences for UK letters: * The return address is right-aligned * The date is written as “15th May 2008” not “May 15, 2008” * A comma, not a colon, follows the recipients’ name * The subject (if included) is centred In the UK, a standard business letter looks like this: Just as with the US examples, I’ll break the letter down into the main elements, working from the top to the bottom. Your Address Your address, also known as the “return address”, comes first (leave this off if you’re using letter-headed paper). 123 Old Road Newtown London SW1 3AA Your return address should be right-justified. The Date Directly beneath this, the date on which the letter was written: 15th May 2008 In the UK, the day comes before the month, and it is fine to put “st”, “nd” or “th” after the day’s date, eg. “15th” “1st” or “2nd”. You can position the date on the right or on the left of your letter. Recipent’s name and address Beneath this, you should put the recipient’s name and address, just as it would appear on the envelope. If you’re using a window envelope, make sure it’ll show through when the paper is inserted. The recipient’s name and address should be positioned on the left-hand side. The Greeting After their address, you should leave a line’s space then put “Dear Mr Jones”, “Dear Bob” or “Dear Sir/Madam” as appropriate. Follow this with a......

...FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING BYP8-5 Assignment A letter to Jerry Mays [Type the author name] 7/31/2011   Mr. Jerry Mays Manhattan Company Main Street, USA Dear Mr. Mays During the time at your company I was able to audit your financial statements. I also reviewed your companies’ internal control regarding cash receipts. I found some weakness that need to be addressed. I have some suggesting that might help improve these deficiencies. (a) Weaknesses 1. A list of checks received is not prepared by the person who opens the mail. 2. Mail is opened by only one person. 3. The Cashier is allowed to open the mail. 4. The accounts receivable clerk is allowed to open the mail. 5. Mail receipts are deposited weekly. (b) Suggested Improvement & Solutions 1. The list of checks should be prepared so that it can later be compared with daily cash summary. While this procedure does not assure that all checks will be listed, it does allow the company to verify that all checks on the list were deposited. 2. When one person open the mail there is no assurance that all incoming check are forwarded to the cashier’s department, therefore there is not accountability. 3. The Cashier should not be allowed to open the mail, prepare the cash summary, and make bank deposit. This involves no segregation of duties as the cashier controls the cash from the time received until it is deposited into the bank. 4. Again, there is poor segregation of duties. The accounts receivable...

... This business letter is an example of Full Block letter style without letterhead. There are no indented lines, and it is produced on plain stationary without letterhead. Like all completed business letters, this one was centered on the page before it was printed. In other words, the distance from the first line of print to the top edge of the paper is adjusted to equal the distance from the last line to the bottom of the page. The font style is Times New Roman, size 12. The margins are 1.25”. These are default settings and should be used unless instructed otherwise. Entertainment International 1357 Hollywood Blvd. Los Angles, CA 90210 November 11, 2015 Mr. Alberto Cantu Reservations Manager McAllen Civic Center 245 12th Ave. McAllen, TX 78504 Dear Mr. Cantu: This letter is prepared in Full Block style, so all the lines begin at the left margin; there are no indentions. Full Block style is the most streamlined letter format because it eliminates the need to indent paragraphs. Always use a justified left margin for letters and memos. This lets the computer randomly determine the end point of each line and results in a more natural looking document. Do not justify the right margin. When keying in a complimentary closing, only the first word is capitalized. Note how the closing of this letter is typed, for example. Pretend this letter is accompanied by a booklet. Whenever anything is enclosed with a letter, indicate this at the bottom of the letter. Sincerely yours, ...

...to visit some communities where the great people of India were stricken with poverty and hunger. I witnessed children, pregnant woman, mothers, and entire families severely famished, underweight and unhealthy. I saw mothers watch their children starve to death and met many orphans who had lost their entire families, left to fend for themselves all because of lack of nourishment. I realize that famine has become a recurrent way of life for the people of India. It has taken over 60 million lives over the last three centuries (Famine In India), yet no one has taken any action to change the problem. It is said that at least 50 million Indians are on the brink of starvation and over 200 million Indians are underfed, even as I write you this letter now. (Ramachandran). Simply having a meal to eat and food in our bellies is something many of us take advantage of every day and something every human being deserves to have access to. For this problem I’ve created the DirtMaster 3000™. I know right now you’re thinking, “Dirt?” So let me explain. The DirtMaster 3000™ is a microwave like appliance that anyone can use. You put dirt inside and turn it on. The DirtMaster 3000™ then changes the entire molecular structure of the dirt. It is essentially dirt that can safely be eaten and provides, believe it or not, all the necessary food groups along with necessary vitamins to keep your body healthy. We’ve also programmed the DirtMaster 3000™ to add a chemical to the dirt making it taste......

...  Parts of a Business Letter | Lesson 29: Writing Business Letters  >>>  Parts of a Business Letter | * The Heading (The Retern Address) or Letterhead - Companies usually use printed paper where heading or letterhead is specially designed at the top of the sheet. It bears all the necessary information about the organisation’s identity. * Date - Date of writing. The month should be fully spelled out and the year written with all four digits October 12, 2005 (12 October 2005 - UK style). The date is aligned with the return address. The number of the date is pronounced as an ordinal figure, though the endings st, nd, rd, th, are often omitted in writing. The article before the number of the day is pronounced but not written. In the body of the letter, however, the article is written when the name of the month is not mentioned with the day. * The Inside Address - In a business or formal letter you should give the address of the recipient after your own address. Include the recipient's name, company, address and postal code. Add job title if appropriate. Separate the recipient's name and title with a comma. Double check that you have the correct spelling of the recipient 's name. The Inside Address is always on the left margin. If an 8 1/2" x 11" paper is folded in thirds to fit in a standard 9" business envelope, the inside address can appear through the window in the envelope. * The Greeting - Also called the salutation. The type of salutation......
