...Objective: Students will verbally explain three characteristics of the Chinese New Year through the study of various learning material. This is for a Kindergarten class. I will first connect and engage the students. Teacher: Today I brought a book I love called Dragon Dance: A Chinese New Year written by Joan Holub. We will read the book in just a little while, but first I would like all of you to gather around the chart board and let’s brainstorm about the New Year Days holiday in our country. The children take turns listing things about New Years: calander, ball drop, clock, hats, whistles. etc…. Teacher: Those are all great words that help us describe New Years in the United States. Today we are going to learn about the most important holiday for people in China. It is the Chinese New Year. Sometimes it is called the Spring Festival. We are going to learn why it is so important to the Chinese people and we will explore some of the cultures and traditions of this holiday. I will point to the world map posted in the classroom and ask the children if they know where China is? The students will respond by saying and pointing to where they think China is on the map. Teacher: We are here and China is all the way over here. China is a country on the continent of Asia. It is the biggest country in Asia and has the largest population in the world. Let’s......

...particular time we were trying to boost sales for our late night shift. The general manager sent out an e mail to all of the managers and asked that we all submit a few ideas that we had to bring in more students. One of my ideas was to have themed late night activities such as, karaoke night, Hawaiian night, and 70’s night. I also suggested that we have prizes for the top three students that participated. I also passed out a brief survey for the students to fill out, so that they could suggest some things that they would like to do. Later in the week we had a meeting with the general manager and she was impressed by all of the ideas we had come up with. After going through all the ideas we collectively came up with a calander of the events and the items that needed to be purchased for the events. The first idea we tried was pajama night. We put up posters to let the students know when and where the event would be held. The night was a hit with the students. The top three students dressed in pajamas were awarded prizes which included an Ipod, free food, and free Starbuck’s. If the general manager had not reached out to the other managers, I’m sure we would have just continued on with the way things were. Discuss at least three reasons why you perceived the communication to be effective, and explain the resulting impact to the business. One of the reasons I perceived the communication to be effective was the boost in sales that we had. ...

Christianity and Muslims:

...is the duty of all Muslims to live by these rules, and it’s also believed to please Allah which is what they ultimately try to do day in and day out. (unknown, http://answering-islam.org/Gilchrist/Vol1/7c.html, 2012) For thousands of years, Muslims have proven that they are all about being together in masses with other Muslims. They meet once a year to celebrate Hajj, which takes place in Mecca or the fifth pillar of Islam. This is also called a pilgrimage to Mecca. Every Muslim is expected to make the pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime. The Hajj is linked to the life of Muhammad, the Islamic prophet from the 7th century. This takes place from the 7th to the 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah which is the 12th month on the Islamic calander. The Muslims use this calendar instead of the Gregorian calendar that is used by all Westerners. Also Muslims participate in Ramadan, which happens in the 9th month on the Islamic calendar. For the whole month, they abstain from food, drink, intimate relations, ill will, talk and actions from dusk to dawn. These are just two rituals that Muslims participate in that bring bettering themselves and their community. They also believe that by commencing in these rituals, it will better the way Allah views them. (Ghouse, 2012) For Christians, they have man rituals that build upon their life within the community. For most Christians, after birth, they will baptize the newborn into whatever denomination that the family worships. ......

I believe the week of February 9th I will need to plan ahead a little more because I have 2 quizzes in one class and I will want to make sure that I’m adiquitly prepared for them. In the past month I’ve done well with keeping everything organized and on my calander, I feel like I could make an effort to make sure that I get more personal time or more time with my daughter. I feel like this is the best way for me to organize and schedule myself, the color coordination really helps me focus on what needs to get done that day....

The experiment was based off creating molecules, “the stuff of life”. ...product quickly. Time is of the essence in selling and you do not want to waste that. If a salesman is hesitant with information or can't answer questions I may have to ask, I will assume he is not sure of what he is selling or does not want to answer. At this point I will move on. When I worked in a communications department planning events, I had time to get to know each customer and what they wanted, from that ppoint I knew what details to highlight and talk most about. When I was planning a dinner event for a 50th anniversary for an older couple, I knew they were cheap and what type of space they needed. I pointed out to them how much better our space and costs were compared to competing planners in the area. I made their date on my calander. Being a salesperson is not just about how many sales you can make, but it is also how people think of you and your product, which reflects your organization. You do not want a bad review written on the internet these days because word travels very fast. They key point to keeping sales (in my opinion) is personality, concern for the customers needs, and keeping a relationship. This will help you make a sale, keep a customer, and gain more customers....

...THE PROMISE OF PENTECOST Acts 2:1-4; 12-18; 37-39. Passover in 2012 will start on Saturday, the 7th of April and will continue for 7 days until Friday, the 13th of April.Note that in the Jewish calander, a holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day, so observing Jews will celebrate Passover on the sunset of Friday, the 6th of April This Sunday on the Religious Calendar is Pentecost Sunday!!! What in the world is Pentecost??? The word “ Pentecost” designates the 50th day after Passover, which was a Feast Day. Also known as the Feast of Weeks or Feast of Harvest. It was on this day, in the Book of Acts, that the Holy Spirit was poured out on 120 Followers of Christ who were gathered in an Upper Room in Jerusalem. It was on this day that the Church was born, in a burst of flames and Glory. This is a day that ought to be never forgotten. You see, it is said that The Average Christian And the Average Church are Somewhere Bogged Down Between Calvary and Pentecost. Yes. They have been to Calvary for Pardon, but they Have Not Been to Pentecost For Power. Bethlehem means God With Us. Calvary means God For Us. But Pentecost means God In Us. Now, Those statements will transform your understanding of the person and the work of the Holy Ghost. I believe that the average Christian is much like the Ephesians believers when the Apostle Paul came to them in Acts 19:2 and said to them - Did You Receive The Holy Ghost When You Believed? They Replied that they didn’t even know......
