...PSY 108: Action Plan Step 3: Final Action Plan Student: Gary Claiborne Date: 7/27/14 Literature Review Stress is a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances. Stress is different for each person. What one person feels is a stressful situation, another individual might not find stressful at all. People also handle stress differently. There is a lot of interpretation when it comes to stress. People deal with stress in a variety of ways. Some people handle stress better than others. Through the experiments we read about throughout the class we learned people handle stress differently and are influenced by the behaviors of others when it comes to a stressful situation. Introduction On the Holmes and Rahe self-assessment I scored a 120. This gives me a low chance of becoming ill in the future. On the Holmes and Rahe college student self-assessment, I don’t remember my exact score, but it was less than 150 which indicates mild stress. Nothing really stood out to me the most when I took these assessments. I completed these same assessments in the last course I completed at SNHU. My results did not surprise me. What I found most interesting is that the items that gave me the most points were things that I did not see as stressful events. To me Christmas and vacation are fun and relaxing events. I never really stress about either of those events. I do see where some people might find them stressful though. I seem...

How to Create a Marketing Plan

...How to Create a Marketing Plan Part 1 - Introduction Firms that are successful in marketing invariably start with a marketing plan. Large companies have plans with hundreds of pages; small companies can get by with a halfdozen sheets. Put your marketing plan in a three-ring binder. Refer to it at least quarterly, but better yet monthly. Leave a tab for putting in monthly reports on sales/manufacturing; this will allow you to track performance as you follow the plan. The plan should cover one year. For small companies, this is often the best way to think about marketing. Things change, people leave, markets evolve, and customers come and go. Later on we suggest creating a section of your plan that addresses the medium- term future—two to four years down the road. But the bulk of your plan should focus on the coming year. You should allow yourself a couple of months to write the plan, even if it's only a few pages long. Developing the plan is the "heavy lifting" of marketing. While executing the plan has its challenges, deciding what to do and how to do it is marketing's greatest challenge. Most marketing plans kick off with the first of the year or with the opening of your fiscal year if it's different. Who should see your plan? All the players in the company. Firms typically keep their marketing plans very, very private for one of two very different reasons: Either they're too skimpy and management would be embarrassed to have them see the light of day, or they're solid and...

Bsbmgt616A Develop and Implement Strategic Plans

...DEVELOP & IMPLEMENT STRATEGIC PLAN DEVELOP & IMPLEMENT STRATEGIC PLAN Introduction: The purpose of strategic or long-range planning is to assist the Association in establishing priorities and to better serve the needs of the membership. A strategic plan must be flexible and practical and yet serve as a guide to implementing programs, evaluating how these programs are doing, and making adjustments when necessary. A strategic plan must reflect the thoughts, feelings, ideas, and wants of the developers and mold them along with the Association's purpose, mission, and regulations into an integrated document. The development of a plan requires much probing, discussion, and examination of the views of the leaders who are responsible for the plan's preparation. However, more often than not, the development of the plan is less complicated than is the implementation. Implementation, in essence, pulls a plan apart and diffuses it throughout an organization. Every unit within the organization which is involved must then accept the plan, agree to its direction, and implement specific actions. In order to effectively and efficiently implement a plan, all individuals involved in its implementation must function as a whole or the plan is destined for failure. [pic] Part A A DEFINITION OF STRATEGIC PLANNING Strategic planning is a tool for organizing the present on the basis of the projections of the desired future. That......

Plan and Implement Administrative Systems

...BSBADM504 Plan and implement administrative systems Project 1 Part 1 IGA is U.S. brand of grocery stores that operates in more than 30 countries. Unlike the chain store business model, IGA operates as a franchise through stores that are owned separately from the brand. Many of these stores operate in small town markets and belong to families that manage them. It was founded in the United States as the Independent Grocers Alliance. The headquarters are in Chicago, Illinois. Recordkeeping system To determine the recordkeeping we started by listing all the customer´s information and buying history, that have been loyal to our company for many years, or are new to our company but always gave good reviews about us in surveys. Then the new recordkeeping system will send automatically emails thanking about their loyalty and online survey and use this to have their current opinions about the company and also to have their information updated. Next, we researched each survey looking for comments that can help the company to improve but also to have their personal information in a base data and information also about their favorite products from the IGA store and reward their loyalty by sending them discount cards, gift cards, coupons, etc. Duration and commencement of the tender: The Company intends to active this recordkeeping system for a duration of 2 years, including a total or partial purchase option. Action Plan

...UNIVERSITY OF LA VERNE La Verne, California ACTION PLAN FOR CHANGE A Paper Submitted in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for MGMT 569: Conflict Management and Organizational Change Student’s Name College of Business and Public Management Department of Management and Leadership May 2014 Action Plan for Change Organizational Description The organization that is the subject of my action plan for change is the xxxx. The xxx has gone through many changes with the creation of a formal human resources division within recent years. Attempts to centralize the recruitment and hiring process in the human resources division with limited staff have been unsuccessful. A formal recruitment and hiring process was implemented in the past two years that helped to centralize the process, but also increased the time to get new employees started in the organization. Believing that creating a formal process will alter informal realities is a myth in planning for change (Cloke & Goldsmith, 2000). Hiring supervisors have reacted to human resources involvement in the process negatively. I have noticed an increase in managers looking toward me to make decisions that they should be able to make themselves. They have also stopped doing some tasks related to the employment process that they should still be completing. A change is needed that will involve human resources......

Action Plan

...The organization that I have chosen to talk in my action plan is the 31ST Seabee Readiness Group (SRG). The 31ST SRG is a command under the US Navy and its mission is as follows; The mission of the 31ST SRG, under the direction of FIRST Naval Construction Division (1NCD), is to train, mobilize and equip all Pacific Fleet Naval Constructions Forces units for the purpose of attaining the highest possible state of readiness and ensure they are equipped and posture for mission success. The action plan that I have created is to implement more training for the Logistic Specialists (LS) attached to the Seabee battalions. Seabees are a known force within the department of the Navy. Their missions consist in deploying into remote sites and establish a camp with all the required assets and establishments for other forces to come in and take over the camp and fulfill their mission or tasks. However, the LS lack the necessary training to set up and operate a post office, and this is becoming a burden to some by not having postal services while in the war zone. This is a major deterrent to the morale of the unit. Issues The LS stationed within the Seabee units are not being provided with the necessary training to fulfill their duties while import or on deployment. After every deployment my office conducts a meeting with the battalion and we discuss the issues, lessons learned from the deployment and what needs to be done to assist them on having a successful......
