1. What is your opinion about the information safety problem in outsourcing?
It's definitely not easy giving up control or handing over sensitive information to complete strangers. On one hand, it's nice to be able to do everything IT related in-house. You control access and you control how and when things get done. On the other hand, any smart businessperson knows it's practically impossible for one department or person to do everything and do it well.
Think Like A Thief
IT-related issues should be viewed from a hacker's perspective. This means considering what can happen if your confidential information gets into the wrong hands. Do you have digital assets worthy of abuse? What negative consequences would occur if they were abused? Is your job going to be on the line if your company makes the headlines?
Who has access?
Most outsourced IT services require someone somewhere to have full access to a portion, if not all, of your digital goods. For instance, desktop support professionals will likely need administrative rights to your workstations. This likely translates into full access to corporate data stored on local drives and, potentially, network shares. Consider what an IT auditor or security consultant may gather during the days, weeks or months onsite perusing your systems. It's limitless and it only takes one miscreant to cause a lot of damage.
Data control
It's one thing to understand that outsourced IT service providers have access to corporate data, but it's quite another to know what they're actually doing with that data. Are they storing the data on their servers, laptops, CDs or USB drives? Are they printing hard copies? The answer is likely yes for both. Clients should expect to turn at least some of their information over and need to be informed of why it's needed and how it's going to be used.
Information protection
You also have to consider how they're protecting this information -- if at all. What are they doing with your information? Are they sharing it with colleagues or competitors? Keeping it to sell in a few years? Even if the people you're outsourcing your IT services to are bound by contract to protect your information, they may not have your best interests in mind, or they may be just plain sloppy. Consider what a person has to lose if he ends up leaving the company or getting out of the IT business altogether. Probably not much. The probability of sales data, source code or patient information being used for ill-gotten gains is pretty low, but it can happen.
Basic instincts
Strong contracts and clean criminal records are not a perfect indicator of safe and sound IT services, so don't rely solely on them. It's also unrealistic to attempt to completely control where your sensitive data is housed and what a third-party does with it. Whether you're for or against outsourcing IT services, you'll have to do it eventually. Do your best to find good people to do business with – preferably through referrals – and trust your instincts.
So, to answer the question, is outsourcing IT services worth the security risk? That depends on organization. While I do believe it's worth the risk, it's not a decision that should be made lightly.

2. What is the same and difference among insourcing, outsourcing and selfsourcing?
The primary difference between outsourcing, insourcing and self-sourcing is the method in which work is divided between various companies or departments for strategic purposes. Other differences between these three business practices include control, costs, location and resources.…...

The Lard Ass

...The Revenge of Lard Ass Hogan An essay based on the short story by the main character, Gordon Lachance, of the novel ”The Body” by Stephen King What is revenge - and does it always make people even? And is a story about a bullied boy who makes everyone puke on each other at a pie eating contest a good story? This essay will focus on the story telling skills of Gordon Lachance and revenge – especially the revenge of Davie Hogan also known as Lard Ass Hogan. Lets focus on Davie Hogan. He is characterized as a fat kid that nobody likes. He is about 12 years old, weights one-eighty and he is always getting beaten up. And if that wasn't enough he has got this awful nickname – Lard Ass Hogan. But one day he got fed up. So he decided to take revenge. Every year, on Pioneer Days, the town would have a pie eating contest – and Davie Hogan decides to make his move – not for the prize of 5 dollars, no; he has other plans. “ At school kids keep comin' up to him and sayin' Hey Lard ass, how many pies are ya gonna eat? Ya gotta eat ten? Twenty? Fuckin' eighty? And Lard Ass, he says, How should I know, I don't even know what kind they are.” Page 100, line 26-30 Before he attempts the pie eating contest Davie Hogan drinks three-quarters of a bottle of castor oil – his plan is to eat until he pukes and make everybody puke after wards. And if the audience pukes on each other it would be the ultimate plan. Because Davie Hogan has no intention of winning. “And besides, winning......

Ass Thinking Skill

...many people who have the potential to develop more effective critical thinking can be prevented from doing so for a variety of reasons apart from a lack of ability. In particular, personal and emotional, or ‘affective’, reasons can create barriers. This paper will show how far such barriers could be affecting our own thinking abilities and how we will manage these. 2. Barriers to Critical Thinking 3.1 Fear Because a person's beliefs and worldviews provide comfort and guidance, anything that places those beliefs in question is threatening. Fear may prevent you from pursuing a line of questioning or from confronting evidence and facts that may force you to reevaluate your position. Fear interferes with critical thinking on an individual level or at an institutional level. Galileo's conflict with the Catholic Church is an example of institutional fear. The Church felt threatened by Galileo's heliocentric view of the universe and stubbornly clung to the geocentric view that places the earth at the center of the universe. The next are based upon common fears that educators have about reform. The fear of change plagues many schools and districts. Change is personal and often difficult, but necessary. Teachers fear loss of jobs, schools fear loss of funding, and parents fear any changes that affect their kids. This fear causes many to hold on to norm and comfort zones in education that prevent progress. As educators, we need to manage this change and assure the......

...universal declaration of human right, leaders of some particular states deem themselves to be the world judges. In this new system, the role played by leadership can be described as self interest, allowing themselves to get involved, guided often I the conflicts that are far from threatening global peace. In terms of security issues, there are several problems with the 1648 principles of Westphalia. One of them is caused by the change in the international nature of conflicts. Another security issue with the old standards of sovereignty is created by modern technology. Nowadays, conflicts mostly arise within countries, rarely affecting the surroundings of the conflicting nation. Although some supporters of absolute sovereignty may argue that individual states should not care about the ongoing events of their neighbors, it might very well be in the interests of each player of the international arena to participate in peacekeeping in the nations that experience. The extent to which these international peacekeeping operations should be taken is debated by many. Thinking about this subject, one might consider different causes of violence inside states. When the disorder in a country is part of a coup d’état, outside intervention would probably be unnecessary, additionally interfering with the process of self-determination. A different case of an ongoing genocide in a country, especially if it seems to have the potential to cross the national borders, could be the time when an......

...1. What are the benefits of trading in Index Futures compared to any other security? Ans-An investor can trade the ‘entire stock market’ by buying index futures instead of buying individual securities with the efficiency of a mutual fund. The advantages of trading in Index Futures are: * The contracts are highly liquid * Index Futures provide higher leverage than any other stocks * It requires low initial capital requirement * It has lower risk than buying and holding stocks * It is just as easy to trade the short side as the long side * Only have to study one index instead of 100s of stock 2. What is the difference between open interest and volume? Ans-In the options market, two measurements describe the liquidity and activity of option contracts. Volume is the amount of contracts traded in a given period, and open interest is the number of open option contracts. Volume Trading volume is the number of option contracts being exchanged between buyers and sellers, and it measures the activity of options contracts. For example, assume the trading volume in call option ABC with a strike price of $55 and an expiration date in three weeks did not trade any contracts for a specified day. Therefore, the trading volume is 0. However, the next day, an investor buys 15 call option contracts and a market maker sells 15 call option contracts. The trading volume for that particular day is 15. Open Interest Open interest is the number of option......
