Subject: Web Conferencing Programs

Web Conference Programs: As requested, I have researched different programs for web conferencing and found many options that are readily available. I have selected five for your review based on my findings, while each has their benefits and drawbacks they are all decent programs that will satisfy the company’s needs some more than others.

When selecting a web conference program I used a few key points in my selection criteria such as cost, ease of use, and ability to upscale (expand). Below is a table listing the programs I have researched, the programs are listed in order based on the best to least desirable.

Name | Cost | Ease of Use | Up-scalable | Adobe Connect | $55.00 month | Multiple platform support | Up to 99 connections | Cisco WebEx Meeting Center | $49.00 month | Multiple platform support | Maximum 7 connections | Fuze Meeting Pro | Varies from $8.00 to $20.00 month | Multiple platform support | Maximum 125 connections | iMeet | $69.00 month | Desktop only support | Maximum 15 connections | ooVoo Pro | $29.00 month | Multiple platform support | Maximum 5 connections |

The majority of the programs I have researched provide multiple platform support ranging from desktops to tablets to smart phones via a dedicated app.

Programs such as Adobe Connect provide a very user-friendly interface that does not require additional training and still provide multimedia-sharing support. Adobe Connect is also scalable from a single server or clustered environments providing support to thousands of concurrent users.

Cisco WebEx Meeting Center also provides multiple platform support like Adobe Connect, but is limited to a maximum of 7 simultaneous video feeds. Cisco also provides…...

...Luis Cubilla ENG/221 Technical Writing Fundamentals Zachery Koppelmann January 28 2013 The organization of the memo from Hugh to Abram is partially organized. Hugh does not stray from his subject much and appears to stay on point with what he wants to address. The letter has an average format with a standard intro body and conclusion along with a signature which should be included in all e-mails. The clarity however leaves little to be desired for but at least Hugh admits that he does not understand his own employee or his friend. Hugh talks about how he was advised not to use certain enterprise software’s with by his friend and how he could not understand much of how the situation should be handled or how he should move forward with his business plans. The writing style is very unprofessional; it almost seems more like Hugh is writing to a friend rather than a co-worker or colleague. There are no real formalities Abram is only addressed by name once and the overall feel looks like something a brother would write to his family member. The memo seemed to be a little disrespectful in some ways. First Hugh is talking business matters with a friend rather than Abram, secondly it appears Hough’s friend is providing the basic of warnings that any programmer should look for but Hugh appears to be leaning towards his friend’s advice rather than Abram who as Hough states “respects his professional approach”. To add further insult to injury Abram has been asked to not...

...T.C. Memo. 2009-93 UNITED STATES TAX COURT THOMAS J. WOODY, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent Docket No. 30077-07. Filed April 30, 2009. P alleges that during tax year 2004 he had a real estate investment and rental business. P deducted expenses associated with this activity as business expenses under I.R.C. sec. 162. R disallowed the business expense deductions. On the basis of this disallowance, R determined a deficiency in P’s Federal income tax for 2004. P petitioned this Court for redetermination of that deficiency. Held: P was not actively engaged in a real estate investment and rental business when he incurred and paid the expenses he deducted as Schedule C business expenses in 2004. Therefore, the costs P deducted are pre-operational start-up expenditures and may not be deducted as business expenses under I.R.C. sec. 162. - 2 Bruce E. Gardner, for petitioner. Scott L. Little, for respondent. MEMORANDUM FINDINGS OF FACT AND OPINION GUSTAFSON, Judge: This case is before the Court on petitioner Thomas J. Woody’s petition for redetermination of his Federal income tax deficiency for 2004 which the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) determined to be $4,955. The issue for decision is whether Mr. Woody is entitled under section 1621 to deductions claimed on his 2004 Schedule C, Profit or Loss From Business. ...CPA Report MEMO Drafted Response for Requested Information: Methodology Financial Accounting Standards No. 96 requires entities to use the liability method for calculating the deferred tax assets and deferred tax liabilities (Wilson, 1990, p. 1). The liability method is used to classify the temporary differences on the balance sheet date as temporary differences. A temporary difference might result in a future reversal as a higher taxable income or deductible differences from future reversal resulting in a lower taxable income (1990). The difference between the tax basis results as an asset or liability transferring into a carrying or book amount in the financial statements (Kieso, Weygandt, & Warfield, 2007, p. 996). The net deductible can be carried back three years as a taxable income or to other net taxable temporary differences. If there are any remaining net deductible the net taxable temporary differences are normally carried for 15 years. When the net deductible is carried back an imaginary refund is created as a deferred tax asset. This deferred tax asset is considered as a current tax asset because the assets come from the year after the date of balance sheet (1990). Reporting Accounting Changes Reporting changes for accounting are identified under accounting principle changes, accounting estimates, and changes in reporting entity classification. Changes in estimates arise from changing depreciable methods on assets (Kieso, Weygandt, & Warfield, 2007, p.......

...It has come to the attention of Tech Garden’s Innovative Services Task Force (ISTF) that a new and innovative method of payment is quickly gaining popularity in recent years for its ability to provide more security and efficiency to its users. The process is called biometric payment and it relies on a biometric authentication system that enables purchasers to simply scan their fingerprints to authenticate purchases and have their owing balance deducted directly from their bank account, saving time and improving security. Although there exist several different biometric systems that scan facial structure and voice, fingerprinting is the safest and most distinctive and permanent method. This project, although currently being in its early stages, has demonstrated potential promise and value. Adopting this technology would not replace credit and debit cards but would simply provide an additional method of payment for consumers. The benefits that accompany harnessing this technology are as follows: • Cost effective for merchants • Heightened security and fraud preventive • Time efficient transactions • Less cards and cash to carry around • No pin to remember The fact that this technology eliminates debit card fees, saves time and improves security is good enough reason to closely consider implementation of this process. This technology does bring forth a few disadvantages; the biggest of which is the concern that consumers’ fingerprints end up in the wrong......

Besides, the price of medical cost for annual physical is relatively expensive. Reducing medical cost by eliminating the annual physical cost in the United States has become a critical issue. Background of Medical costs Medical costs rate in the United States has grown rapidly in decades and is still arising in the following years. “In total, health spending accounted for 17.9% of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2010” (KaiserEDU.org). Figure [ 1 ] (KaiserEDU.org) Figure [ 1 ] (KaiserEDU.org) Background of Annual Physical “Since the British physician Horace Dobell first advocated annual examination of apparently healthy people, patients have come to believe in the value of annual contact with a clinician” (Christine). After doing annual physical, most people feel better about their health since there is an evidence proving that you are in a good health. According to the 2002 survey conducted by the University of Colorado Health Science Center, there are 65 percent of doctors and patients think that the annual physicals are indispensable (Katherine). ...INTERNAL MEMO Date : November 13th, 2015 To : Ms. M. Marfanisha, Operation Manager From : Mr. Arvin P. Tanato, Vice President Subject : Problem with office sanitary Dear Ms. Marfanisha, Regarding to the report you had sent to me about the issues of the sanitary in the office. There are some issues that are not satisfactory for me. There are some things that I wanna ask you about this issues. I don’t really think that the sanitary toilets, pantry and the hallway could affect the employee’s performance since they work on their own work place. And why the employees not helping the workers by maintain the cleanliness of the office, since they’re the one who used it. And about the outsourcing thing, why don’t we just train the existing workers rather than hire new workers that will allowing costs more. And speaking of that, how much approximately will it cost to hire new workers? Would it be more efficient than train the old workers? And the last thing is, why can’t we ask the existing workers to see if there’s any problem or own reasons due to their job. Hope by asking the workers will answers all the issues about this sanitary in the office. Contact me for the further discussion. ...Memo To: Representative Howard Hughes From: Date: Re: Panel discussion on funding Medicare crisis Message: Below please find outline of current Medicare cost concerns as well as some history on the program as well as some plan options to cutting overall costs. Medicare is facing a major financial crisis. The federal government subsidizes medical care for more than 45 million elderly and disabled Americans through Medicare. Medicare is the third-largest federal program after Social Security and defense, and it will cost taxpayers about $430 billion in fiscal year 2010. Medicare is one of the fastest-growing programs in the federal budget, with spending likely to double over the next decade and to surpass Social Security spending by 2028. Numerous studies suggest that about one-third of Medicare spending is wasted. [ (Edwards, 2010) ] Many elderly people may believe that Medicare is an insurance plan as they pay into the cost and are charged for co-pays. Although it’s been known as welfare program, led by the government there is controversy regarding this. AARP Vise President, Joyce Rogers stated AARP is focused on protecting Social Security and Medicare for the millions of beneficiaries who have paid into the systems over their working lives. Rogers’ statement follows: “Medicare is not a welfare program. Seniors pay into Medicare their entire working lives based on the promise that they’ll have secure health coverage when they retire. Applying a means......
