Greenville Health System is a Level I Trauma Center located in the upstate region of South Carolina. The health system consists of many entities and is the largest non for profit healthcare system in South Carolina offering a variety of services (http://www.ghs.org, 2015). As a system GHS is rapidly growing and expanding its services to more and more communities in the region (http://www.ghs.org, 2015). While the system has always had a focus on providing excellent care the advent of Value Based Purchasing has place a renewed emphasis on providing the right care at the right time and ensuring the patients are receiving the excellent care they deserve. Greenville Health System has been in existence since 1912 and has grown in that time from a single free standing facility to an integrated delivery system with an academic medical center (http://www.ghs.org, 2015). The Greenville Health System mission as stated on their web site is to “Transform healthcare for the benefit of the people and communities we serve” (http://www.ghs.org, 2015). This health system has used both social media and the internet to reach out to the communities it serves as well as to the people it employees. Amongst the many ways it utilized the internet and social media are a robust web page, a Facebook page, electronic medical records, online employment opportunities, education for employees and the general public as well as transparently providing the public with budget and finance information (http://www.ghs.org, 2015). Value Based Purchasing has placed HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) on the radar of every healthcare system that receives payment from CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid),(Raso, 2015). The objective is to examine if the marketing strategies of high performance batik SMEs differently from low performance batik SMEs. The high and low performance batik SMEs were categorized based on their annual sales and profits for three consecutive years. For this purposes, the questionnaires were distributed among 186 batik business owners in Malaysia. The data collected were then analyzed using Mann-Whitney U Test and Chi-Square Test. The result found that the high sales and profits performers are not only focused in local market, but they expand their sales out-of their states. For high sales performers, they are frequently advertised their businesses and using various promotional tools. Hence, efforts should be made by the low performers to find and expand their sales outside of their states, advertise their businesses more frequently and not only depends on personal network as promotional tools. Although significant prior work has examined drivers and performance conse­ quences o f adaptation/standardization o f marketing strategies in international markets, researchers have yet to apply this avenue o f inquiry to sustainable marketing strategies. Building on contingency theory and the concept o f strategic fit, the authors develop a model o f drivers o f sustainable export marketing strategy adaptation and explore the circum­ stances under which such a strategy affects export performance. Using a sample o f U.K. exporters, they find that vari­ ous macro- and microenvironmental factors are responsible for sustainable export marketing strategy adaptation, which shapes the nature o f sustainable export marketing strategy fit and its export venture performance outcomes.
