Brand Elements

...abbreviation for High Tech Computers; Samsung comes from Korean and means “three stars”, which is the symbol of something powerful and everlasting. These names are quite memorable. They are probably less adaptable, however can be easily transferable. Both HTC and Samsung can have a vast line of products and product categories under unchanged name as long as they stay in the electronics industry. Both names are quite unique so they can be protected. Logo: Samsung’s logo is the brand’s name written in a blue oval. Since it includes the name it is unique and can be protected. The same levels of adaptability, transferability and memorability apply to the logo as to the name. In terms of meaningfulness of the logo, we can say that it has the same meaning as the name (because it is written on it), however it doesn’t depict anything other than the name. HTC’s logo is also its name written in a quite unique, distinctive font. To me it conveys the idea of simplicity and elegance. Like Samsung, the logo doesn’t show anything more than the name, so its meaningfulness ends there. It is protectable since it is written in a distinctive way. Like the brand name it is transferable, and adaptable. Catch phrase: HTC’s slogan is “quietly brilliant”. It once again shows elegance and simplicity and for that reason it is also memorable. It is transferable and adaptable to any other product extension or industry. I would say that it is protectable, because it describes the brand in a......

A Memorable Trip to a Historic Site

...A memorable trip to a historic site Introduction Throughout life, we all have visited different places or historical sites, so memorable that you cannot avoid sharing that experience to your friends and love ones. As a former member of the US military, I consider myself very fortunate to travel and visit historic places and museums, and at the same time serving my country and the Air Force, one of the finest military organizations in the world. In my own unique experience, I visited a country that I thought I would never dream to visit if not for my career in the US military. The temporary assignment to Incirlik base in Turkey, the bus ride, the visit to the birthplace of Saint Paul the Apostle and a Muslim tour guide to the city of Tarsus, was one of the most memorable trips in my life. Temporary duty to Turkey I love to travel, and visited many different countries, but this particular trip a temporary duty to Incirlik air base in Turkey, without my family was a very unique experience for me. This trip was so memorable that I constantly think about it and share this experience to my friends and family every time I have the opportunity. What is so unique about this trip is that, as an American and a Christian, I am visiting a Muslim country that has a long history of Christianity. Numerous Christian Apostles and Saints were born in Turkey, but in this particular trip, I was interested in visiting the city of Tarsus, birthplace of Saint Paul the Apostle.......

A Memorable Event

...A Memorable Event The average human will go through billions of events throughout they're lifetime. Some events vary compared to others, some being more memorable, life changing, or forgotten. Regardless of the events, whether big or small, the human brain uses it to shape new events in the future. While the individual will forget some easily, others will remain engraved in the heart of an individual. The most powerful memories remain in the heart leaving often unforgettable images and events for a longer period of time, and probably the whole of their life, and form an unforgettable memory, are among the most memorable events in the life of a person. Deeply engraved events have a profound influence on the life of the individual. Nonetheless, some teach lessons, while others are memories of happiness and love. Above all, the most memorable events are those that are life changing. This essay focuses on a major memorable event that happened to me at a quite tender age, and which taught me an important lesson, which I still find of use and influence up to this stage of my life. If I close my eyes and think about my life since my childhood period to the present stage of my life, I recount many things and major events that I have experienced. However, it is possible that these are not all the experiences I have had in my life, as I did not master the less important events. There are those events that I treasure, and find hard to forget, while others are mere memories of the......

A Home Cooked Memorable Meal

...A Home cooked memorable Meal When is the last time that you enjoyed sharing a good meal that you cooked with that someone special? Many of us can make a dish or meal that tastes good or even great but very few can make meals that are both enjoyable and memorable. Why is that? Some dishes taste great, some dishes look great but very few look and taste great, and even fewer are made in someone’s home. Wouldn’t it be awesome to share a marvelous dinner with that someone special; one that will be remember long after the day is gone. By following a few simple steps, and using imagination a fantastic home cooked meal can be had that will be fondly remembered for decades. The first thing to focus on is to research the type/s of food and drinks both diners will enjoy, the environment/s that brings out importance or comfort and a specific time for the meal. Look for what types of foods both diners like. The meat, vegetables, breads, and what kind of drinks. This does not show what to choose, or how to cook the meal as there are many wonderful recipes that can be found online. Instead I will be showing how to put your dining experience together. For this example I will use one of my favorite meals. I start with bruschetta and a Cesar salad followed by a thinly sliced roast beef covered in a spicy bouillabaisse, with whole green beans, potatoes au gratin served with freshly baked black forest bread and a lightly chilled Brazilian red wine. Next look for a place that both diner enjoy.......

Most Memorable Experience

...Perhaps, since I am a high school student, somebody might say that I have my entire life ahead of me, with all of its beautiful experiences. But, despite being so young, I already have a personal breath-taking experience, which, I am sure, I will carry with me until my last days. What I am talking about here is my first hike to the mountains. Though traveling is not a big deal today, and lots of my peers rolled over the whole US or even abroad, before my trip I used to be a homebody. I had friends to hang out with, several hobbies, and I felt completely comfortable about spending weeks or even months in my hometown—or sometimes even on my block—without going anywhere. All my demands of novelty were satisfied by the Discovery and National Geographic channels, and I seriously thought that there was no difference between seeing something on the TV or with one’s own eyes. The situation changed when one day David, my best pal who always got a couple of colorful bugs in his head (or, in other words, was always carrying out several crazy plans at once) tumbled into my room and proclaimed his neglect towards civilization. I will not describe how he managed to persuade me to join him in his journey to the Rocky Mountains; all I’ll say is that we departed in five days. This was my first time in the mountains, so I was turning my head in all directions. Unfortunately, the weather was foggy all the time, and the higher we got into the mountains, the worse the visibility was.......

Memorable Day

...Scobi Lee 10.14.2014 Elementary School Playground I remember that when I revisit to my elementary school playground. The school was near my home but I had never been to the school after graduation. For some reason, I don't quite remember, but I visited the school ten years after graduation. As soon as I entered the school, I was quite surprised at the school because it looked very different than when I last saw the school. Playground became small, but I know it’s literally not smaller. School walls, which were higher than my height, became as lower as half of my height so that I can see out of school landscape. Boys sometimes jumped down from the wall to show their bravery. But I don't know how they express now. I turned to chin-up bar and I could remember I often used to hang upside down on the chin-up bar for over some minutes thinking that will make me grow up faster. But I regret now that I’m grown up. Just below the chin-up bar, there is sand that I rolled over. I played wrestling with my friends. Even though I was slim figure, I tried to win my friends to impress girls around. In the corner of playground, there are slides. I think I didn't take stairs to go down slides. Instead of going up the stairs of the slides, I would rather enjoy to go up through the sliding side because it made me feel like I conquered the playground. But it made my shoes worn out just like my childhood I sat on the long low stairs that I cheered when field day. The ground no longer needed...

Memorable Experiences

... Student’s Name: Institution of Learning: Instructor’s Name: Course: Memorable Experiences In life, some situations may stir up a state of confusion about one’s identity to one of clarity. The character of a human being only becomes real when they begin to see themselves for whom and what they are. The first step to growth and improvement is the understanding of oneself. Since, one can only change a bad trait when they are well aware of its existence. Currently, I am a Saudi Arabian, studying in a different country. It has been quite difficult and an adventure as well. English is my second language while Islam is my religion since am Arabic. Honestly, it is not easy to be a minority n this country. However, my endurance has shown me that I am not one to let another dictate how I will live my life. A few years ago, I received the news that I would be coming to study in the U.S. While the news was good, there were many worries in my mind especially because of the many stereotypes aimed at Arabs. The assumption is that because we are Muslims then we are terrorists, extremist and rich. Memorable Character

...Memorable Character He stood by the corner of the streets, seldomgazing into the distance. His dark flaky hair, roughand odorous suggested the fact he hadn’t had the satisfaction of a bath. His emeraldmilitary jacket; oncetartan green now faded to light grey, covered the untucked, split, and sweat-stained shirt which lay buried underneath. Filled with filth, the old pair of jeans he wore wascut in his knees and reposed four inches above his broad-brush ankles, uncovering the putrefaction that was deep within him. The greyness of everything that surrounded him gave the impression that the lingering shroud of darkness had consumed the sunlight, which once shone upon him that soon warred its way below the horizon of animaginary forest. The stillness in his eyes reminded me of the frozen souls who stood inanimately to the waning glare of the sun casting shadows of the figures of the deceased in a world only he knew of. A startlingly lissom, slender nose was above a distorted mouth with a smear of lines at the corners giving him the face of someone who smiled regularly, but his stiff jaw gave a portrait of a man who knew only one thing and that was failure. Looking deep into his eyes were two fiery balls with an intimidating nature. Hishair was like a grey ocean that swayed with the breeze of the wind. He had a mysterious aura about him, inflicting fear pheromones and perhaps even curiosity at first glance. He had vulgar eyes darker than the moon during an eclipse. My heart was......
