MN Real Estate Service Corporation “Success in business is all about patience and hard work and working hard will be easy if you have a vision, clear goals, and are passionate with what you do” (Isidro, 2012). MRESC needs to get a vision and clear goals in their company to really strive in the coming years. Having a successful business is hard and managing that business is even harder. Some people can argue it would be their product or service, but ultimately it’s a company’s employees that propel a business forward. Hiring and retaining people depends on a number of things and once a company reaches a certain point they will have to expand to accommodate new people.
Growth for any business or company or business is a good thing, however growth can cause a number of problems. “Physical expansion isn't always the best growth answer without careful research, planning and number-planning” (Spaeder, 2004). Minnesota House Real Estate Corporation (MRESC) has been steadily growing over the past 20 years and it’s now at a point when there need to be some significant changes made. Located in Minnesota they have been providing a service to just Minnesota but as new requests for their service come in they might have to expand to the neighboring states as well as moving to a more central location. Making a physical move with a business can be tricky in any situation but there are things that the management team needs to do before considering moving. ...MNS Real Estate As I was walking home, I saw an ad that caught my attention. There were no pictures or catching images, but as I read their logo I giggled. As I mentioned in the Super Bowl paper, ads or commercials that make me smile or laugh are more memorable to me than others. The advertisement, located on 6th avenue on an old phone booth, stated in plain text, “I don’t remember his name, but his apartment…” This is a real attention-grabbing headline. MNS real estate uses sex as an advertising tool, something that is usually not associated with real estate ads. Moreover, by choosing to not include any images and instead emphasize the text, the message is clearer. Based on MNS real estate ad, their target audience is people between the ages of 20-35. They are probably young professionals seeking to buy or rent an apartment in the city. The ad is targeted towards a younger audience because the subject matter is something that is easily relatable to them. For me, the advertisement worked. I understood their concept, their joke and the company left me with an unforgettable impression. This type of “teasing” campaign wouldn’t perhaps work in other parts of The United States, but it definitely suits the New York aesthetic. This shows how important it is to not only think about the consumers but also the location where you are advertising. The Rs 2,000 crore, initial public offering of Lavasa Corporation Ltd, promoted by Mumbai-based infrastructure group, Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) is likely to be postponed to next fiscal, after it received a show cause notice on 25 November to stop construction of the project from the Ministry of Environment and Forests and after its name surfaced in the bribe for loan scam. Lavasa city, near Pune, is one of the most ambitious real estate projects in the country. Considered to be India’s first planned hill city, the 12,500 acre project is part of the 25,000 acres of land, declared as a `hill station’ by the Maharashtra government, under the hill station policy passed by the government in 2000. The Ministry has given 15 days time to the company to give reasons for not demolishing the unauthorized structures constructed in Lavasa city, without obtaining environmental clearance between March, 2004 and September, 2006. According to the notice, the constructions are in violation of the Environment Impact Assessment Notification, 2006. The Ministry has also asked Lavasa to stop construction in the city till the Centre takes a decision on the show cause notice, and it has asked Lavasa to back up their explanation with photographs and satellite imagery.
