OPERATION PROCESS CHART
The operation process chart shows the chronological sequence of all operations, inspections, time allowances, and materials used in a manufacturing or business process, from the arrival of raw material to the packaging of the finished product. The chart depicts the entrance of all components and subassemblies to the main assembly. Two symbols are used in constructing the operation process Chart : an operation and an inspection.

FLOW PROCESS CHART
The flow process chart is a device for recording a process in a compact manner, as a means of better understanding it and improving it. The chart represents graphically the separate steps or events that occur during the performance of a task or doing a series of actions. The chart usually begins with the raw material entering the factory and follows it through every step.

The process chart symbols : The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has established the five standard symbols are described As follows: Operation An operation occurs when an object is intentionally changed in one or more of its characteristics. An operation represents a major step in the process and usually occurs at a machine or work station.

Transportation A transportation occurs when an object is moved from one place to another, except when the movement is an integral part of an operation or and inspection. Inspection An inspection occurs when an object is examined for identification or is compare with a standard as to quantity or quality.

...nnnn ENG 101 10 September 333 How to Configure Windows Startup Computers are not meant for everyone, and the programs associated with them just seem to overcomplicate the whole process. Configuring Windows programming can be a mind boggling task that requires time and some basic computer knowledge. To successfully configure Windows, I am going to walk you through the process so that you can experience the most out of your computer. Connecting the Computer- Once the computer is put in the correct place, it can be connected together. First of all, connect the monitor to the PC. The monitor cable comes from the monitor and has a male plug on the end shaped like a trapezoid with two screws on either side. This is plugged into a trapezoid shaped port on the rear of the PC denoted by a small graphic of a screen. The screws are then turned to achieve a tight fit. Next to be plugged in is the keyboard. The keyboard cable has a pink semi-circle shaped male plug, which plugs into the pink port at the back of the computer, which has a small keyboard graphic next to it. The same goes for the mouse, except this has a green plug and port. The printer cable also has a male trapezoid shaped plug with screws on either side, but it is a lot longer than that of the monitor. It is similarly pushed into the corresponding trapezoid port with the......

...Process Essay Flan(Mexican dessert) Foods are important in every culture. Flan is a traditional Mexican dessert and there are many versions. This flan recipe is prized for it’s simplicity. If you’ve never made flan before, now is the time try this recipe. I’m going to talk how to make three different kinds of flans. Flans are really important for my culture and almost all Mexicans families eat flan for dessert. I’m going to explain how to make the caramel flan, the Authentic Mexican Flan, and the crème cheese flan. The first flan is the caramel is round and it looks just like jello. The taste you get in your mouth is like creamy pudding with the taste of a caramel in it. At the caramel flan you have to use one and a half cups of sugar, two tablespoons, three eggs, two large eggs, yolks, pinch salt. You put the oven in the oven, and let it bake for fifty to sixty minutes. It is much better if the oven you has a light n a see through, that way u can see the process. That would be a great gift for Mother’s day. The Authentic Mexican Flan taste is so different, the taste of it is similar to vanilla and creamy and the shape its round. The flan haves a good color is kind of yellow that makes it looks so good. You got to preheat the oven 323 degrees to make the flan. Combine the cream, cinnamon and coffee powder in a small saucepan over medium-low flame. Temper the egg mixture by gradually through a strainer into a large bowl, cream together whole eggs and yolks with the......

The Strategic Process

...Steeley Rapier III June 24, 2013 MGT/498 Strategic Management Tugtekin Gokaydin The Strategic Process The strategic process is a very important concept in the business world and it helps show companies what is working and what may not be working. There are four parts in this process and each part plays a pivotal rule: Environmental scanning, strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and evaluation. This process is very similar to a cooking recipe because each part helps the other and without one the end result will be inaccurate. Many companies use this strategy and Johnson & Johnson does as well. They follow this process and they do it by organizing local management to focus on their area because they are the ones that know the area best, but they still have one management team to make overall all decisions for the company as a whole. Environmental scanning can be defined as “the study and interpretation of the political, economic, social and technological events and trends which influence a business, an industry or even a total market” (Wheelen, T. L., & Hunger, J. D. (2008). Strategy formulation “is the process of deciding best course of action for accomplishing organizational objectives and hence achieving organizational purpose. After conducting environment scanning, managers formulate corporate, business and functional strategies based on the scanning” (Wheelen, T. L., & Hunger, J. D. (2008). Strategy implementation implies making the......

The Referral Process

...Refera The Pre-Referral Process: Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) /Response to Intervention (RTI) Anika M. Taylor Special Education Foundations and Framework February 20, 2013 Schools and entire districts have embarked on multiple strategies to address challenging areas for students with disabilities and those at risk for behavioral and academic failures.  Over the years, educators and policymakers have recognized the need to create, implement, and document practices that have proven to make an impact on student learning and behaviors. Many of the strategies used have focused on the collection of data and the collaboration between and amongst professionals. Today, educators agree that the key to effective interventions for students at risk for failure and those with disabilities lies in a comprehensive approach that fosters growth in student overall learning and behaviors. Several approaches were designed to meet the challenges that students experience as they engage in their learning. These approaches include two processes outlined in this discussion: Response to Intervention (RTI) and Positive Behavioral Intervention Support (PBIS). Response to Intervention (RTI) integrates assessments and intervention within a school wide, multi-level prevention system to maximize student achievement and reduce behavior problems. The RTI process helps to identify students for poor learning outcomes, provide evidence based interventions and...

...Creative Process Michael May PHL/458 June 5, 2013 John Smith Creative Process The creative process is one that people use every day, (Passive voice – suggest “People use the creative process every day, “) whether they realize it or not. The creative process includes four stages: searching for challenges, expressing the problem or issue, investigating the problem or issue, and then producing ideas (Ruggiero, V. R. (2009). (Repeated error – do not include author initials or first names with in-text citations – use “(Ruggiero, 2009)”. In personal experience, I have noticed that I used the creative process while trying to improve conditions at the various places in which I was (word tense – use “have been”) employed. A big thing at Gateway Cold Storage was that the pick path, or the way in which products were arranged on the warehouse floor was not conducive in creating a path that was conducive to generating speed and getting more items loaded in a more efficient manner. (some informal language, vague pronouns, missing commas, and passive voice – try “At Gateway Cold Storage, the pick path, or how products are arranged on the warehouse floor, was not conductive. A quicker and more efficient system for loading items was needed.”) Searching for challenges would be to (passive voice – try “involves”) going out and looking for ways to improve the way you live life. The book states that the first stage of the creative process represents the habit of searching for......

Process Design

...Individual Assignment Design a Flowchart for a Process Sherry Martin OPS 571 University of Phoenix November 19, 2010 Design a Flowchart for a Process Everyday, people perform daily processes as part of their regular routines and many of them may consume a great amount of time. In this paper, a specific process has been identified and a flowchart has been designed to show the various factors that affect the design process as well as the specific metric that identifies the measurement process. By designing a flowchart for this process, the desired result is to identify how the amount of time involved can be minimized while also making the overall process more efficient. Factors Affecting Process Design The factors affecting the process design include: 1) “Do I get up promptly?” OR “Do I hit the snooze button on the alarm?” 2) “Do I have my clothes ready for work?” OR “Do I need to decide what to wear in the morning?” 3) “Is there a great deal of traffic or congestion?” OR “Is the traffic moving smoothly?” Each of these factors can greatly affect the process design because of their potential impact on the overall amount of time expended. Some additional steps in the process design which have less impact on the overall efficiency of driving to work include: 1) Shower 2) Brush teeth 3) Fix hair 4) Do makeup 5) Breakfast Identified Metric The one metric that has been identified to measure the process is time. The flowchart will incorporate......

...PROCESS MANAGEMENT Companies begin the process of organizing operations by setting competitive priorities. That is they must determine which of the following eight priorities are to be emphasized as competitive advantages: 1. Low-cost operations 2. High performance design 3. Consistent quality 4. Fast delivery time 5. On-time delivery 6. Development speed 7. Product customization 8. Volume flexibility Although all eight are obviously desirable, it is usually not possible for an operation to perform significantly better than the competition in more than one or two. The five key decisions in process management are: I. Process Choice II. Vertical Integration III. Resource Flexibility IV. Customer Involvement V. Capital Intensity These decisions are critical to the success of any organization and must be based on determining the best was to support the competitive priorities of the enterprise. PROCESS CHOICE The first choice typically faced in process management is that of process choice. Manufacturing and service operations can be characterized as one of the following: 1. Project 2. Job Shop 3. Batch Flow 4. Line Flow 5. Continuous Flow The nature of these processes are discussed below and summarized in the manufacturing product-process matrix on page 8. Project Process. Examples of a project process are building a shopping center, planning a major event, running a...

The Process

...The Process The American Citizenship process, also known as the naturalization process, it is an acquisition of citizen status through specialized legal processes. The process is an extremely complicated topic consisting of many rigid rules and regulations a certain individual most follow. Every year in the United States there are millions of people from foreign countries submitting immigration applications to the USA Immigration Services (a private organization devoted to help foreigners, US Visa holders, Green card holders). According to the U.S Immigration Lawyers website, Out of these, an estimated 700,000 people were granted citizenship in the fiscal year 2006 (October 2005 – September 2006). Becoming a United States citizen is a dream to many individuals, matter a fact to thousands of people around the world. Unfortunately, it is not possible for everyone who applies to receive a U.S citizenship. People cannot receive residency or citizenship just by moving or settling in the U.S. Many foreigners are required to apply for a B-1 (Business Visa) or a B-2 (Tourist Visa) before they can visit the United States. Professor of Law Bill Ong Hing at the University of California points out the process of obtaining either an immigrant or non-immigrant visa can be both time consuming and involve a substantial amount of fees. On the other hand, there are several ways to receive a green card (United States Permanent Resident Card). Every year few lucky individual are selected in a......

Process Analysis

...Process Analysis I believe this article will tell me how to write a proper, process analysis essay while also providing examples and other tools needed to start off the essay on the right foot. Process analysis is an operation that is composed of processes designed to add value by transforming inputs into useful outputs. The author compares the term process analysis to cause and effect and narration the author says that all of these three ideas break down into three different categories. Narration talks mainly about what happens, while cause and effect talk about why it's happening, and process analysis talks about how it is happening. The examples the author gives for process analysis are things like giving directions, or how to make ice cream. The author provides us with two different types of process analysis. One of them is directional, which provides instructions on how to do something. The purpose of directional process analysis is to provide the reader instructions to follow in order to achieve a particular task. Then, there is the informational type of process analysis which explains how something works, how something is made, or how something happens. The author says that you would normally use an informational type process analysis if you wanted to explain how the human heart functions. While reading the text, I thought it was very informative on how to write a proper process analysis paper. The author provided many useful examples for both......

Bottlenecks in a Process

...Bottlenecks in a Process University of Phoenix Bottlenecks in a Process Making a decision on what to eat for breakfast is a constant battle for me every morning. Eating breakfast is very important to me personally because it affects my mood for the rest of the day. Deciding on what to each morning is a routine, from the time the alarm goes off to taking a shower, I have the same question is in my head: What do I eat for breakfast? Although eating breakfast is routine, I find that there is always a constraint or a bottleneck in the process. Behind every process there is always a limiting factor whether it’s trying to get to work on time or trying to complete a degree, there are always bottlenecks that set the speed of your progress. The Key to speeding up my breakfast process is to find the limiting factor and alleviate them as fast as possible. After paying a good amount of attention to my daily breakfast routine, I found that the main bottleneck in the process is my food options, what is available to eat in the house? I found that I spend majority of my time looking for what is available to eat. To alleviate this process, I used the Goldratt’s theory of constraints to overcome the process bottleneck. The First step is to: 1. Identify the system constraints: the constraint in my process is my food options and the availability of food in the house. 2. Decide how to exploit the system constraint: To develop the constraint of my breakfast process, I......

Due Process

...Due Process Crystal Groff Strayer University Professor Freeman Abstract We all wonder what the words life, liberty, and property derived from. In this paper I will be explaining what due process is and how it relates to life, liberty, and property. I will also explain where due process came from and what 2 amendments relate to due process. Before we start though I would like you to know that due process is there to protect the defendant under proving guilty. Define due process and its origin? Due process refers to a set of established legal principles, derived from the Constitution, that seek to protect the rights if citizens. It is done to insure that the government treats all the individuals properly and does not abuse there power by acting against the citizens in an arbitrary, oppressive, or capricious manner (WiseGeek, 2003). The most important fundamental level, is that it prohibits the government from taking any action against the individual that would result in the loss of liberty or property, without first making sure the individual notice of pending action, and has the opportunity to be heard. In every case, before the final decision can be made, the government has to provide the individual, through judicial or administrative procedures that are fair to the individual and impractical, and the ability to challenge the state action. The more serve the case of deprivation of liberty, the more rigorous the due process procedures afforded must be......

Process Improvement

...three components: Planning, control, and improvement, and is referred to as the Juran Trilogy. It is based loosely on financial processes such as budgeting (planning), expense measurement (control), and cost reduction (improvement). Quality Planning: The structured process for designing products and services that meet new breakthrough, goals and ensure that customer needs are met. The processes are called Design for Six Sigma or Concurrent Engineering. This can be particularly challenging for a planning team, because customers are not always consistent with what they say they want. The challenge for quality planning is to identify the most important needs from all the needs expressed by the customer. The planning component begins with external customers. Once quality goals are established, marketing determines the external customers, and all organizational personnel determine the internal customer. Once the customers are determined, their needs are discovered by: Being a user of the product or service, * communicating with customers through product or service * satisfaction and dissatisfaction information, or * Simulation in the laboratory. The next step in the planning process is to develop product and/or service features that respond to customer needs, meet the needs of the organization and its suppliers, are competitive, and optimize the costs of all stakeholders. The step typically is performed by a multi-functional team. Quality......
