1.1. The concept and components of organizational culture

Specific patterns of thinking and behavior of members of the organization in the form perpetuate culture. The interest in organizational culture appeared in the science of management at least since the direction of the development of human relations, highlighting the importance of human interaction methods for the efficient functioning of the organization. The concept of organizational culture, however, is still a matter of debate and controversy. This is somewhat understandable given the one hand, the ambiguity of the concept of culture, on the other hand - the diversity of expectations about the possibility of explanation in terms of the cultural analysis of various organizational phenomena.
What is culture? It is difficult to clearly define but generally we sense intuitively, what is meant by this term. Edward Hall, a famous scholar of culture, he writes about culture as a system of communication. Culture provides us with both the language "heard" that and "inaudible", gives us a common image of the world, ourselves, and our role in it. Culture teaches us how to move in the world, how to evaluate - what is right and what is wrong - and you can manage the rules of social intercourse. Culture is not a product of nature, but of human communities. We receive it as a gift from others - from those of us who have been participants. At the same time, however, it is a living thing, because we live in it, and we contribute to it throughout our lives.
What creates a culture? What part of this extremely complex system of communication? Edgar Schein, a famous scholar of culture, presents culture as a multi-level system, similar to an iceberg.
