The Eating and Weight Disorder Center of Seattle (EWDC) is one out of a group of treatment centers in Seattle called Evidence-Based Treatment Centers (EBTC). EWDC offers treatment for different eating and weight disorders. The program does not single out one type of population, as they serve a variety of populations. The disorders that EWDC help their clients with do not stand-alone as they usually lead to medical complications and mental health issues. These concerns were instrumental in determining the opening of the EWDC. It is important that individuals seek help, as it is the first step to recovery.

...Site Visit Report Systematic Desensitization is a type of behavior therapy (McLeod, 2008). Developed by Wale in the 1950s, systematic desensitization was based on classical conditioning principle. Systematic Desensitization is used to treat the fear of phobias that a person may have. Systematic Desensitization uses two techniques the hierarchy of fear and relaxation techniques (McLeod, 2008).   How Systematic Desensitization Works The first step in systematic desensitization is to provide a patient with some relaxation techniques ("wiseGEEK," 2003-2013.) This is used to help the patient to remain calm during the next step in system desensitization. The second step in system desensitization is to create a hierarchy of fear ("wiseGEEK," 2003-2013.) This is step is done with the help of the therapist. Both therapist and patient create a list of things that frighten him or her or what things may through him or her into a panic. The list is composed of things that frighten the patient the least to the things that may frighten the patient the most. The hierarchy of fear will help the therapist to know which phobias to start within a systematic desensitization program. Next the client will have to imagine him or herself in feared situations (Ankrom, 2013). An example would be a person who has a fear of speaking in front of large crowds. First, the patient will need to imagine him or her talking in front of a small crowd of people. With the growing anxiety, he or......

Site Inspection Report

...TO: Dr. Fike, CEO FROM: Lamis Niggis SUBECT: Site Inspection Report - Belk DATE: June 27, 2013 The Location This store is located in Valdosta, GA at the Valdosta mall. The mall is located on the intersection of Norman Drive and Saint Augustine Road. The mall has one of the highest visitor counts in all of South Georgia. Belk can be found on the west side of the mall in between Old Navy and JC Penny if you come in through the front mall entrance. I have included a map of the mall so that you will know exactly where it is. [pic] Customer Service This Belk serves over 350 patrons while bringing in over $15,000 in sales on an average day. The average transaction takes 7 minutes and costs $45. ¾ of sales come from Belk credit card holders. Card holders enjoy many benefits that regular customers do not, including: special sale days, more coupons, tailoring, free shipping, and cash back. One negative is that at times due to not enough workers being present the wait times for a transaction can rise. Décor The store has white ceiling and walls with carpet on the areas containing clothing. The store in laid out in a way that I feel is somewhat cluttered and lacking space between the clothing racks. As I walked between the clothing areas I felt that I was rubbing shoulders with other customers. There isn’t any art or real design to the store. Market Potential The current......

...Site Visit # 1 For my first site visit, I decided to attend Saint Martin of Tours Church. I am not of any religious background and do not attend church, if I do go to church it is with my husband and his family during holidays and they are Lutheran. I personally have never attended a Catholic church, so that I why I decided to attend this church. I attended Saint Martin of Tours Church on July 13, 2014 and it is located in Valley City. The church is very large and beautiful. It is made out of all brick and many large glass windows. The inside of the church is just as I would of imagined also, very bright and welcoming. When I first walked in, a woman who welcomed me and handed me what they call a bulletin greeted me. As I entered the chapel, I noticed there were three different aisles and 4 long rows of seats or pews. The ceilings were vaulted and extremely high. I was surprised how large it was in inside, although the building is very large for the outside, I do not think I imagined it being so massive inside. At the front of the chapel, there were three very large wooden arches behind the pastor, and in the middle of the arches was a very large wooden cross. Just above the cross was a very intricate circle of stained glass, it had every color imaginable and resembled what looked like a flower to me. There were also signs in the front corners of the church that had numbers listed on them. I actually asked my husband, who went with me,......

Site Survey Report

...Wireless Site Survey Recommendation Wireless Site Survey Recommendation Orchard Street Art Center Orchard Street Art Center Summary This report summarizes a plan to conduct a wireless site survey, also called a radio frequency (RF) survey, at Orchard Street Art Center. This survey will generate recommendations for maximizing network security, coverage, and capacity. Expert Advice Earlier this year, the board of directors of Orchard Street Art Center asked me to propose a plan to improve wireless coverage throughout the center’s public areas, offices, classrooms, music studios and indoor and outdoor theaters. To make sure I proposed the most effective plan possible, I decided to seek the advice of experts. Fortunately, one of the area’s top experts in wireless networking, Jamie Brookstone, president of Brookstone Network Consulting, offered the services of his staff pro bono. Thanks to his offer, I was able to meet several times with the following consultants: Lyn Luzerne Associate Engineer Dean Armstrong Senior Engineer Suzanne j. Sheffield-Harper Project Manager Our conversations focused on ways to improve network connections for the center’s staff and patrons. I also studied information obtained from leading hardware manufacturers and software distributors. This research suggests that our first step is to conduct a site survey of our entire facility. What Is a Wireless Site Survey? A wireless site survey is an analysis of a facility’s wireless......

Report Company Visit

...Executive summary: This report is dedicated to provide a detailed analysis of The Movenpick Hotel Hanoi’s selection devices for hiring employees and its strengths and weaknesses. The method of analysis used for this report are examining the Movenpick’s application form and interviewing the hotel’s Human Resources specialist-Mrs. Thoa. After analyzing the raw material from Mrs. Thoa, the results were produced. The selection process follows 3 steps with valid and reliable methods and a set of criteria: application form, interview and performance-simulation test. The strengths of those selection devices are enormous since it helps with filtering suitable candidates who meet certain key criteria with right attitude from the application form. The interview is the phase where the company can assess and gain a deeper understanding about the candidates and the final step which is performance-simulation can actually assist managers in predicting and evaluating candidates’ future performance. However; there are some weaknesses concerning cost and time that were identified while the raw information is analyzed. Before each hiring period, the hotel has to prepare everything carefully in advance, from scheduling, setup to training and report and the period of 2 months trial simulation would be too long and wasted on disqualified candidates. Therefore, the weaknesses need minimizing to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the whole process. It is recommended that the......
