V.1
Who am I
I fall in category of a lost child
Where am I
How did I get why I do I feel all alone inside
Who is this person who claims this body I don't her you've mistaken me with somebody else cause an angel wouldn't do such things, The devil is taking over me

Chorus:
Take me back to the days where I didn't have to worry bout a damn thing
Take me back to the days where grandmommy would hold me
...and my body and my body and my body hurts.. My soul is crying soul is crying I just wanna run
Take me back to the days where life was okay

V.2
The buzz is gone, the high is low
I feel normal again, why did I do what I did
Anxiety took over me and stress was pressuring me.. Pressuring me
Blinded by all these lights did I really do that last night
For a second there everything was okay but now I'm back to reality, all alone no one to hold.. Why must life be this way.. This is really getting old

Chorus:
Take me back to the days where I didn't have to worry bout a damn thing
Take me back to the days where grandmommy would hold me
...and my body and my body and my body hurts.. My soul is crying soul is crying I just wanna run
Take me back to the days where life was…...

Give Me Back My Life

...Poem: Give me Back my life Day in and day out I go thru these emotions , But What are they really about? Do I have the strength to go on? Or will all my might they drain Leaving me in a rut in which I must remain Arrows pierce my heart ripping and tearing it apart Shred by shred Was it something I said? Or disillusioned notions in my head I can't stop the rain from falling I can't stop my loneliness For companionship It's calling I can't stop the pain From it what will I gain? As the hurricane of despair gusts thru my mind A decent thought I cannot find With all this rage how can I comprehend one thoughtfrom the other Or those in which I can make amend I rack my brain tossing thoughts here and there All the while wondering Contemplating How possibly can I get rid of the thorns in the fiber of my being It's embedded from days of old It's so unfair My flesh and bones , seemingly Can't get passed The past That caused such dysfunction From head to toe, a chilling sensation Something new I cannot name Can it I claim Where to direct it Some wrongs need to be corrected With my mouth words explode from within The healing process now begins My soul cries for help Amidst a raging storm of old Everything I see, hear, touch Brings a new reality Where is the real me Thru this process I pray the blinds are lifted No more misery , no more strife I declare Addiction Give me back my life!!!...

What It Takes

...for me. I had a lot of bad things go on, things that no child should have to go through. So in result of that I was taken out of public school and was homeschooled. I never really had a teacher. I was home by myself and had no one to teach me. In result, I never got to graduate and get a diploma. I had gone to school to be a dog groomer, and became a certified groomer and ran my own grooming shop. So I had never worried about getting my G.E.D. As for writing I never really had to write I always talked face to face with my clients. I had never written an essay before I started college in the September of 2010. I never liked writing because I was not experienced in doing so. Honestly I was scared of having to take Communications. Now I am starting to enjoy writing still not the best at it, but I am getting a lot better compared to what I was. The essay This I Believe I really enjoyed it was my favorite one. Overall I have made a major improvement in my writing capabilities. I have tried the different techniques of brainstorming. I have tried free writing and I didn’t like this technique, because it had no order to it. I like thing having an order. Then I tried the web, I only used it once but I did not care for it much either. But the one that seemed to work the best for me was listing. I liked it because you could list them and group your ideas. Then when I started on my essay things go a lot smoother. One of the most helpful things my Instructor told me......

...company. Direct recruiting means that the business actively looks for new talented workers with its own time and resources. The range of direct recruiting includes a wide variety of ways that companies recruit, ranging from very simple ways all the way up to very extensive ways. An example of this is as simple as if a company such as a restaurant sends out one of their current employees to pass out flyers that state who they are and that they have positions open. On the other end of the spectrum, corporations often go on extensive searches to find a specific person for a highly respectable position. An example of this would be if a CEO retired from his company, a search would have to be conducted in order to find a new, qualified CEO who can take his place, which is not very easy to come by. In the middle of the spectrum, between handing out flyers and headhunting for a new CEO, there are more common recruiting that happens at colleges. Georgia Southern offers to its students one of the few logistics programs, so companies who are in need of logistics majors come to this college with their goals set of finding their future employees. All of these examples depict ways that a company can utilize its own resources in order to find the candidates they need in order to grow their business, thus making their company more profitable. Another way a business finds talented individuals is by way of indirect recruiting. Indirect recruiting is when a company uses an outside source such......

It Will Take More Than Marketing to Put Blackberry Back in Race

...------------------------------------------------- It will take more than marketing to put BlackBerry back in race  CMO STRATEGY Beset by technical difficulties and playing catch-up in the U.S., RIM's new team positions brand as a tool for those who get things done Even a category as new as smartphones has its grandpas. The onetime market leader, Research in Motion's BlackBerry, is on life support. While longtime customers still swear by them, the devices are now largely passed over for hip whippersnappers such as iPhone and Android. RIM had a rapid descent, with its commanding position in U.S. market share vanishing within just a few years. In 2009, BlackBerry had 44% of the market for smartphone operating systems, vs. Apple's 24% and Android's 9%, according to the NPD Group. But as consumers flocked to the web browsing and apps supported by its competitors, BlackBerry's lead evaporated. At the end of last year, Android held 52% of the U.S. market and Apple 32%. BlackBerry's share had dwindled to less than 10% The company that invented the smartphone, mobile instant messaging, and our head-down, always-texting culture risks being irrelevant to the next generation of U.S. mobile consumers. What happened to the CrackBerry? Serious competitors, an aggressive smartphone marketing environment, the loss of key executives, product delays and marketing missteps have all played major roles. Yet the overarching problem may be plain-old inertia. It's not unknown in......

Back to School

...English 3 A 12 September 2014 Back to School Coming back to school can be a little annoying and stressful, especially when I’m coming back from a long summer. I have to wake up early in the mornings; there is not much free time for myself; how could I possibly like that? Well, like everything else in life, it’s all about perspective. My life has the potential to be an art, and coming back to school can be an opportunity to prove it. I just have to be creative. I may think school is just taking away all of my time and that I don’t have the chance to play sports or do the things I like, and it might be true. But changing my perspective can allow me to see that school is not keeping me from doing what I always do, but it is an opportunity to learn something new. Now that it’s my senior year and that I’m a member of the student council, school is an opportunity to leave my mark in this school and to make a change in the students’ lives. It’s also an opportunity to learn and prepare myself for the life that I have ahead of me in the future. School can be great if I am patient enough and aware of what is happening around me. That’s why I have to pay attention to my surroundings. But what happens if I find myself in a situation where I have the potential to do something amazing, but I just don’t know what to do? That’s what preparation is for; school can help me prepare myself for the opportunities that may cross my way in the future, so that I can take advantage and make......

Back to December

..."Back To December" I'm so glad you made time to see me. How's life? Tell me how's your family? I haven't seen them in a while. You've been good, busier than ever, We small talk, work and the weather, Your guard is up and I know why. Because the last time you saw me Is still burned in the back of your mind. You gave me roses and I left them there to die. So this is me swallowing my pride, Standing in front of you saying, "I'm sorry for that night," And I go back to December all the time. It turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you. Wishing I'd realized what I had when you were mine. I'd go back to December, turn around and make it all right. I go back to December all the time. These days I haven't been sleeping, Staying up, playing back myself leavin'. When your birthday passed and I didn't call. And I think about summer, all the beautiful times, I watched you laughing from the passenger side. Realized I loved you in the fall. And then the cold came, the dark days when fear crept into my mind You gave me all your love and all I gave you was "Goodbye". So this is me swallowing my pride Standing in front of you saying, "I'm sorry for that night." And I go back to December all the time. It turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you, Wishing I'd realized what I had when you were mine. I'd go back to December, turn around and change my own mind I go back to December all the time. I miss your tanned skin, your sweet smile, So......

Back to College

...Back to College Kristen Marcel English 121: English Composition 1 Michael Slotemaker March 30, 2015 Back to College I think that everybody should consider going to college. Deciding to go back to college was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Going back to college was a very important decision. I took many steps in order to make sure I was making the right choice. It has and will continue to be a very positive influence in my life. Graduating college will improve my life in major ways. Providing the qualifications I will need to for my career choice, boosting my overall self-worth, and the feeling of achievement that I will receive from graduating college will effect the rest of my life. Having to chose a college that worked best for me and what to major in were the hardest steps to take. I used the internet to research different colleges. I also researched what careers go with certain majors. At first, I wasn't sure what college to pick from. I knew that an online college would work better for me because of the flexibility. The classroom environment was not something I cared for since it was hard for me to learn anything with so much going on. I always wanted a business or finance degree. When I noticed that Ashford was associated with Forbes, I was very interesting in finding out more about the school. With the help of my Admissions Counselor, I took all the appropriate steps so that I could begin working on my studies. I think that getting a......

The Boys at the Back

...The Boys at the Back The boys’ grades are dropping and dropping, while the girls' grades are getting better and better every year. This is very frustrating for the young boys, and research shows that more and more of the young boys are dropping out of high school and college because of this problem.  But what is the explanation for this? That girls are smarter than boys? Or that boys do not have the brain capacity to straight A’s? Although this might be a delight for many teenage girls, this is not the case.  Christina Hoff Sommers has been brave enough to take this issue up for us in the media in her article “The Boys at the Back”.  Previously, it was the boys who were at the top of the society. The male gender was the ones who had the most and the best opportunities in educations, and so did they of course have the rights, which women have not always had. But beyond that, the parents also expected more of their sons than they did from their daughters; "Families’ favoring sons over daughters in allocating scarce resources for schooling; cultural norms that de-emphasized girls’ education, particularly past high school; an industrial economy that did not require a college degree to earn a living wage; and persistent discrimination toward women in the workplace.” (p. 1, ll. 19-21).  However, in our today’s society parents seems to look more identical at their children. There has always been a small gap in preparation to education between boys and girls. In the......

Take It

...As high school comes to an end, and the college days draw near, a conmstant question comes to young high school grads. “Which one should I choose?” There is a total of 4,140 colleges in the United states for kids to choose from, each with their specific set of programs to offer the student. Yes, at first it be overwhelming but with the right guidance, high school student can make the best of their college experience. There are multiple ways to choose the college that’s right for you. One of the ways is to go with academics. What are the colleges programs, are they the one for you. This may take some intensive research, (which is why juniors in high school should have already started). Also do they offer all the classes you want, what is the teacher to student ratio? Another thing to consider is the price. Is it something you can afford to pay every smester. Your dorm(that is if you going out of state, or planning on living on campus), your books, and even if the college is in the state as you reside in all play a part in your tuition. There are also government services that can help you pay such as FAFSA and TAP. Another factor is the life on campus. Usually this is a deal maker or a deal breaker. If you are given the chance to visit the college DO IT. This gives you the chance to see how it is in person. Is it to your liking, is it too big or too small, is it public or secluded, are there a lot of......

Not Into Me

...to come ,but took me as a surprise. See derrick is very special; his is those kinds of guys you absolutely feel attached to because they are gentle and caring, and make up for amazing friend. However, he was not the only one there his “friends” arrived to. I decided to just ignore that and jump to the 3ft high colled water pool I felt a chilling sensation while I hit the bottom of the pool and out of the sudden I started to feel fresh, a little confused but more alive than ever. The pool just awoke this feeling of being reborn, though I was still myself. When I decided to get out up me chilling water was washing out my visage, and that’s when I caught eye of him, It was like being in a drought and suddenly felling the raindrops. He definitely looked differently, I wasn’t sure of what but it made smirk. We both made eyed contact , he for sure saw me the same way, he couldn’t stop smiling but what was I doying, really derrick he was just a friend, no, he definitely dint feel like a friend anymore there was something more to this. It felt exciting and I wanted to know more about this moving emotion. I decided to get out of the water and seek help, to the only girl I know is an expert on this kinds o f situations, Unabella. When I got to her, was kind in a hurry but I told her to help me, she agreed wit h the condition that I’d gave my beautiful coral sandals in order to talk to her boyfriend. I told her about how, it never had occurred to me before but that I......

Me, Me Me

...In January 2008 a British journalist, Sarfraz Manzoor, wrote an article with the title “Me, Me, Me” that appeared in the magazine “Esquire”. He gives his opinion on how the phenomenon “New Narcissism” has its influences on today’s society through the Internet. And he leaves us with the impression that there is a reason to be worried about today's youth being more narcissistic than ever before. Narcissism is not new for us. New Narcissism is a modern version of the phenomenon narcissism. And it has been known since ancient Greece with the Greek myth about Narcissus that fell in love with his own reflection in the water. The man that got narcissism recognized as a medical condition was Sigmund Freud (l. 53). But in our age, the word, narcissism, does not seem that serious and is mostly defined as a phenomenon. This New Narcissism has come to life because society reproduces itself (l. 59). And growing numbers of people are more narcissistic according to a study performed by psychologists. Sarfraz Manzoor, who has written this article, describes that New Narcissism is the offspring of today’s society. He makes an example by including a person named Chris Crocker. Crocker became famous because he put a video on the Internet where he defended the celebrity Britney Spears. There can be two reasons for his behaviour. Is he doing this to tell people that they shall back off and because he is fond of her? Or is he doing this to get attention? But it does not seem as if Britney is......

Take Me

...Joshua R Valentin 11/03/2011 Jamie Fox Eth/125 Capstone Checkpoint What information about race and ethnicity in the United States has helped you better understand or relate to specific minority groups? The information that helped me better understand different minority groups are the statistics that were reviewed about the influence these groups have on society. For instance just last week we reviewed statistics on the different trends Asian americans have on voting throughout the years. Along with a total income, how many Asians graduate from college, or how many Asians earn six figure incomes. These statistics made me get a better understanding of the influence and impact different groups have on the society. Have you learned something new about your own cultural history? Yes I have, when it comes to the history of Puerto Rico. Many people don’t realize that Puerto Rico has and still has a very rich Artful history. Many philosophers, writers, poets, and artists come from Puerto Rico. It made me understand more of the struggles my people have gone through throughout the years and helped me understand what came out of it. Trends in immigration will continue to shape the face of the United States. What will this face look like in the year 2050? I think that immigration will continue to shape the face of the United States but at some point in the future there will be a tighter hole to go through. As problems with the economy continue, more and more jobs will......
