Introduction
I am Ashwin from Bangalore, India, 31 years old and married. I have been software professional for most of my professional career. During my work life of 9 years in different firms I have how important Team and Teamwork really is. I have worked in different situations with different people and I strongly believe that Teamwork is basis for successful results.

Together Everyone Achieves More (TEAM)
In today’s world TEAM and Team work plays an increasingly important role be it in any given situation. Chuck Page once said “A single leaf working alone provides no shade.” To succeed at the task in hand everyone involved needs to combine their efforts. If everyone does their job well, then team accomplishes more. One should realize the fact that great achievement can be made if individuals master the fundamentals and work together as one unit. Everyone has a unique role, but each person's individual role must be recognised and appreciated.
Every team member is important and need to understand how important it is for him/her to work smoothly together for the benefit of both team and team member. Each player must be dedicated to the whole team and be willing to act unselfishly. When challenges arise (as they always do), the team needs to have the resources, accountability and commitment to deal with them in a constructive and positive manner. A sense of teamwork will play an integral part in this.
When team members work together for the good of all, everyone achieves more, keeping in mind that the development of an effective team requires a positive attitude and dedication towards the teamwork, along with an understanding of what teamwork involves. ...2 leaders, who are Mr Rose and Ms Eilien and 50 members including Masters, Stage crews and Marketing crews. Masters are those who have highly specialized tasks including Sound, Light, Backstage and etc. Stage crews are general crews who work on the stage organizing the cables and preparing tools for the show. Marketing crews are those who are in charge of selling the show tickets and advertising the show. This team is both formal group and project team being supported by the organization, Taylor’s college in Subang Jaya. This team is supposed to be disbanded after the main show. All the crews are from various parts of an organization “Taylor’s college” working together on a temporary basis. The two leaders get involved with the team and teamwork with different leadership styles for each Masters, Stage crews and Marketing crews. The leaders act as External coaches for Masters and Marketing crews and network facilitators for Stage crews. The leaders give a lot of responsibilities to Masters and Marketing crews. Besides giving advises and encouragement the leaders let the Masters and Marketing crews do on their own ways. They are given authority and responsible to make their own decision on their tasks. The members in Master group train one another to develop multiple skills. When they face problems, instead of directly looking for the leaders to help, they discuss first and tried to find a solution by themselves. ...Webster’s College Dictionary defines a team as “a number of persons associated in some joint action” and teamwork as “cooperative effort on the part of a group of persons acting together as a team or in the interests of a common cause”.1 Teamwork in a classroom teaches students the fundamental skills associated with working as a collective unit toward a common goal. When students are required to work in teams it introduces a variety of skills that will be valuable for students later in the workforce, such as communication, compromise and collective effort. In any type of group work, students must agree about who will handle various components of a project and collaborate using one another’s strengths to accomplish assigned tasks.2 Which often teaches time management, resource allocation and communication skills. Teamwork can push people to expand their skills and learn from one another in ways that might have never occurred had they not be placed on the same team. ...in the classroom. One of the important aspects of nursing is teamwork. The Quality and Safety Education for Nurses define teamwork as “functioning effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision making to achieve quality patient care” (Anunciado, 2014, p.140). Two examples of teamwork were showcased during my rotation in the heart catheterization laboratory and as a team leader on the Neurosurgery/Neurology floor. In the catheterization lab the healthcare team involved in each procedure included the doctor, registered nurse first assistant or technician, the circulating nurse, and the monitor. Those not involved with the procedure remained in the observation area with the monitor. Even though these staff members were not actively working on the patient they still observed and informed the monitor of things he/she missed. On that day the schedule contained five patients, the nurses and technicians rotated positions for each procedure while staying within their scope of practice. This allowed for each person a chance to have a break during different times of the day and relief from possible burn out in their position. Members of the team also stated that rotating positions in this area allowed for everyone to learn more about the procedures and decrease the occurrence of being short staffed at any given time. ...The Art of Teamwork May 17, 2010 The Art of Teamwork What is teamwork? How does a team form from a group of individuals with different personalities and ideas? It is often said the difference between a group and a team is that a team shares a common goal (Davis, p. 309). However, this statement does not explain how a team is structured and how it grows into a single entity from a group of many. Taking an assortment of people and changing them from a group into a team takes time, patience, and focus (Davis, p. 310). The idea of developing and implementing a team charter can assist in this cumbersome task. It allows team members to highlight areas considered to be their strengths and be forthright about their weaknesses. In addition, a charter is an instrument that can be used from the start of team cohesion to identify team objectives, state how conflicts will be resolved, and aid in unity by initiating involvement of all team members. One of the most rigorous barriers a group has to overcome on the way to becoming a team is understanding personality type and individual differences. Personality is a learned characteristic derived from an individual’s environment, lifestyle and experiences. ...TEAMWORK Teamwork is one of the most important concepts of everyday life. A team is a group of individuals who strive to work together in order to achieve a common group goal. I believe that our team effectiveness can be measured by looking at how we approached assignments and course objectives. Our effectiveness as a team can be broken down into the following: Unity, being self-conscience, being goal oriented, having a positive atmosphere, having frequent discussions, freedom to express opinions, having few disagreements, quick decision making, being well balanced, having constructive criticism, and shifting leadership roles. One of the first principles that made our team effective was a clear unity of purpose. Each objective presented to us was broken down and discussed freely and openly within the group, until each team member had a clear commitment for a component of the objective. As an effective team we also were able to be self-conscience about our work. Being self-conscience allowed us to be aware of any mistakes fellow team members were making when completing an objective. We also were able to see future issues when working a problem, this allowed us to re-strategize when needed. Everyone in the team had clear and demanding performance goals. This was key when doing our final project due to it having such a large impact on our final grade.
