Traffic Jam

...our day-to-day life. And as such, the bad effect of traffic jam can better be understood than described. So movements on the roads and streets must strictly be regulated by certain rules, which we call traffic rules. Vehicles must keep to the left, obey speed limits and should avoid overtaking and follow the traffic signals. If these rules are followed strictly, the vehicles can go on smoothly without causing any traffic jam. But most often than not, there is glaring carelessness about these rules. As a result, the common people pay very dearly for it. People lose their time on their way for nothing. Sometimes we feel inclined to think that our government and the people at the helm of these affairs are very indifferent to such vital problems. Something positive must be done to relieve the people from such problems. Traffic congestion is a condition on road networks that occurs as use increases, and is characterized by slower speeds, longer trip times, and increased vehicular queuing. The most common example is the physical use of roads by vehicles. When traffic demand is great enough that the interaction between vehicles slows the speed of the traffic stream, congestion is incurred. As demand approaches the capacity of a road (or of the intersections along the road), extreme traffic congestion sets in. When vehicles are fully stopped for periods of time, this is colloquially known as a traffic jam. Consequences of Traffic jam: At rush hour, a distance of three to four......

An officer's responsibility to conduct a motor vehicle collision investigation begins at the time he or she is directed to the collision scene. It is at that precise moment that the officer should begin to obtain as much information as it is available from the radio operator, such as type of collision, location, extent of injuries, traffic condition, etc1.then the officer should at the set speed for the department procedures of running code to a scene proceed to and secure the scene. If medical attention is needed, the officer will call it in, but assuming that there is no such need, the officer’s first job is to. This is the 1st of the 10 things we as police should do. the patrol vehicle is the first available tool to use in traffic control, other devices such as plastic traffic cones and flares can also be used. They help to channel other cars away from the scene. when the first responding officer has evaluated the injuries involved and rendered medical assistance if necessary, they should begin divert cars from the scene then he should try to get the cars out of traffic as soon as possible. ...Background: Traffic congestion is not a new problem. The number of automobiles and trucks have been increased during the last few decades after the car boom period. So there was an urgent need for constructing more highways and bridges , improving traffic-signal controllers, making changeable highway signs, rerouting rush hour traffic, creating traffic-control centers that monitor and display the overall traffic conditions, using preplanned alternative traffic solutions based on repeated daily traffic patterns, etc. However, some strict financial sanctions or fines must be applied to eliminate the problem of traffic jam. For Jeddah city, the streets are overcrowded with cars and people. At the same time, the airports are welcoming a large number of newcomers all over the world every day. Moreover, the number of roads and bridges is not sufficient to the increasing number of vehicles. In addition, in Jeddah there are approximately four million people both Saudis and expatriates who use over one million vehicles to move around the city. We also expect more. Causes of traffic congestion inside the cities Saudi Arabia is a modern Country, but it also has a modern and serious problem. Every day in the morning and evening, the roads and streets are so crowded with cars, taxis, buses and trucks. In this part will mention the causes of traffic congestion in Saudi Arabia’s major cities. In the next lines, we will speak about the several reasons for traffic problems in......

Traffic Accident

...Nowadays traffic accidents in United States become a worse problem resulting in many deaths, injured, disabilities and damage to both private and public property. According to data from National Committee for Road Traffic Safety, in 2007 the total number of traffic accidents increased to 9449 cases, which killed 1545 persons, injured 24815. This makes traffic accident and death rates in United States are higher. Traffic accidents are caused mainly by drinking, speeding, and cars going off-road while drivers failed to use car’s facilities properly, especially, disobeying the traffic laws. Drunk Driving is not only illegal, but completely preventable. Alcohol-impaired driving is a serious national problem that unfortunately affects many victims yearly. Often, people believe they feel well enough to drive after drinking only a small amount of alcohol. They should be careful not to drive even if they slightly intoxicated after the party. A slight intoxication can reduce one’s response time to maneuver a vehicle. For example, alcohol causes the body to relax and sometimes can blur one’s vision. While in a car, it takes longer for some intoxicated drivers to slow down or to see what cars and obstacles may be in front, behind, or on either side of them. Moreover, Seat safety belts are designed to reduce injuries by stopping the driver from hitting hard elements inside of the vehicle. By not wearing a seat belt, they are also putting their self......

Traffic Jam

...responsible for this? Traffic jam is that magician. Traffic jam has become a great monster in our modern life. Traffic congestion is not only affecting our business but the education sector as well. Students cannot do other tasks such as photocopying or collecting notes before attending class in the morning because a lot of time gets wasted on traffic congestions. It wastes lot of working hours of students as well as teachers. In many occasions, students and teachers fail to attend classes in due time. And it is more painful when students fail to reach exam halls and fails just due to a social problem. Now just think everyday how much national time is wasting, how much economical activities are losing, for the traffic congestion problem. This assignment is focusing current situation of traffic congestion problem in Dhaka city. What is Traffic jam? A traffic jam is a long line of vehicles that cannot move forward because there is too much traffic, or because the road is blocked by something. Over the last few years the traffic congestion problem of Dhaka City has visibly been deteriorating steadily. Limited resources, invested for the development of transport facilities, such as infrastructure and vehicles, coupled with the rapid rise in transport demand, existence of old transport and also huge number of non-motorized vehicles on roads, lack of application of adequate and proper traffic management schemes are producing severe transport problems in almost all the traffic route......

Traffic

...Traffic has always been a problem when driving in a big city. There are many improvements that can be done to fix or lessen the amount of traffic throughout a city. Such things as wider roads (i.e. super highways), monorails, and even for some to re-take their driving tests. The use of monorails within a city as a means of public transportation would be a great way to get from point A to point B, without having to use a personal vehicle and therefore decreasing the amount of vehicles on the road. A downside to using a monorail is the cost. Currently the Bombardier MVI that is being used in Las Vegas, NV, costs $88 million per mile. Expensive yet effective. This would help cut down on the amount of stop and go traffic. Another helpful agenda that would reduce the flow of stop and go traffic is if each state were to issue a bill, stating that a driver after a certain age must retake their driving test. As stated by Moore, Peter in Front Page and Life, “Most Americans think that 75-year olds should have to re-sit their driving tests in order to keep on driving, while people also it’s about as difficult as it should be to get a license in the first place.” Can you think back to a time where you were on your way to say either a doctor’s appointment or running a tad bit late for work and you happen to get stuck behind a slow moving elderly person that clearly wasn’t even driving the speed limit? Having a set age limit by each state for the elderly to retake their driving test......

...Traffic is Fatal In the middle of Iglesia ni Cristo’s controversial rally along EDSA last week, one netizen tweeted about how his friend’s mother died because the ambulance cannot get through the heavy traffic on EDSA. This incident started when Jim Paredes tweeted: “If anyone dies in this traffic right now, or an ambulance can’t make it to the hospital, who will answer? Does anyone care?” Sadly, one netizen which is named as @badet_cardona on twitter replied and managed to make Paredes’ tweet to be reality. It was said that his mom’s friend, died at a hospital along Reliance EDSA. Supposedly, it will only take 15 minutes to go there but it took them 1 hour and 27 minutes to reach the hospital. They had to endure the mass rally that Iglesia ni Cristo was doing. And in order to just make it to the hospital, they had to ask favor to the rallyists to at least let them pass through but one woman from the rally replied, “So what?” This response made them so shocked and disappointed for someone who has a religion who strongly believes in God’s teaching and practices them. They also said that they do respect what INC is fighting for but they do have to consider what others are going through as well. In line with this, CNN Philippines also reported that emergency medical service have turned down over 50 requests for ambulances when it has to pass through EDSA. It was estimated that six people died in the past five days of INC rally. All of these tragedies is......
